"-it just felt like you were insecure about something,"

Ari vocalized, turning to peek at him as he glances at her too.

Although, he didn't have an answer to that. Maybe she's right. Or maybe it's more than any insecurity? He needs to figure out himself.

"Ari I—" Avi locked their eye contact, reading her orbs where she was only asking him one question.

"What's bothering you?"

And he didn't know it himself as of now.

Maybe it's those feelings that he left behind 4 years ago with Arranya as he left the country. Since Ari didn't let him confess that time, he decided that he won't think about those feelings because it would have bothered him to survive by keeping those feelings contained in his heart.

But now, a lot of time has passed by. Maybe those feelings are now irretrievable those were there when they were younger.

But now after seeing her again. Being this close to her for the first time feels like... His heart would explode. Arranya was comparatively calmer but her heart buzzed too being this close to someone.

She has never been this close with any guy in her life. And this unexpected action by Avi was flabbergasting but she managed it well as of now.

"I don't know if you're right about me being insecure or not, but I do feel like—" he took a pause to stare in her eyes for a solid 2 minutes.

"-we've drifted apart from each other... Haven't we?" He questioned. His whole body felt numb at this point but he waited for her to respond.

Arranya twisted more in his arms to be more on his side, facing him properly. She attached her right arm with his chest, sitting perpendicularly in between his legs with his arms lightly holding her waist. More like they were just kept over her stomach for support.

"I know what we are at right now..." Ari gulped.

She made the eye contact that he didn't break at all, showing her the sincerity in his actions that she needed.

"How you left us back then, what you wanted to say, what I felt, what you felt. What was our bond like... It all seemed to have faded in my memories," she told that gave Aviral a bang in his chest.

He felt like he's going to lose everything the next moment she'll utter a word. He just couldn't believe what she said.

Faded in her memory? The heck she means by that?

Because for him, he only has those memories that he used to live by in these 4 years whenever he was sitting in solitude.

But being patient was the finer option because it went in his favor.

"But I still haven't forgotten those feelings, those vibes that we both had," she smiled eventually, unintentionally offering Aviral a relieving sigh.

"I still haven't forgotten how easily you got me comfortable with you when I thought it would take a lot of time to overcome from Vansh. But you made it happen within months after meeting which was like..." She looked away from his to search for a word while her eyes shone in delicacy.

"Like magic," she turned to look at him again with a smile so genuine that she might haven't smiled like that in ages in her memory.

But she has become much more fun-loving and jovial like the real Arranya she was before her best friend whom she loved, Vansh, did that to her.
