"I love you, Arranya Awasthi,"
A confession that he never imagined of doing it like this. Pouring out his deep, and unsaid feelings like this, he didn't plan it this way. He didn't want his confession like this.
He wanted it grand. He wanted it to be special.
A day that she'll never be able to forget in her whole life. A day that she'll want to remember in her 7 minutes when she's dying. A day she'll talk about with her friends and kids in future. A day that will always make her blush or cry out of happiness everytime she'll reminisce about it.
But this?
No ways! This isn't what he planned for. This isn't what he has always dreamt of in the past 4 years. This isn't what he would want to be a day of confession looks like where they literally fought with each other an hour ago. Where he upset her, ruined her mood and then confessed to her out of the blue?
No ways!
For him, maybe he ruined it all. Maybe... It was the worst proposal ever?
His heartbeat went over 100 but Arranya's? Her heartbeat went over like 200.
She has always wanted to be proposed so surprisingly that she'll always remember in her life. She always wished that she wouldn't be proposed in a planned way. She always wanted it to be cozy, comfortable and done in private so she can feel it all and alone with her partner.
And maybe... This was the best proposal ever?
She could have never thought of it happening this way so suddenly when they'll be playful around each other, have fought with each other earlier in the day and then she'll be proposed?
Such a memory!
Both of them tried to breathe properly but they just couldn't. It felt like their breathing became an involuntary action that wasn't in their control anymore in a second.
And it surprised both of them about how powerful these 3 words are that they can freeze you in a place for forever if they wish to.
But they couldn't stand like this forever where Aviral was holding her wrist and they were just looking at each other like that, could they? No. So he inhaled sharply before uttering whatever came to his mind first.
"Ari I— I-" he tried but he couldn't think of anything.
"I- I- mean that- I didn't mean- t- to do it the- this way like- I would have made it special for you but-" he tried to explain when Arranya also came back to her senses.
"No-" she uttered, closing the distance between them.
"W- why would you say?" She awkwardly chuckled, pushing back her hair strands behind her ear, gulping twice on her way to him that felt like a long walk which was only inches apart.
"B- because I wanted it special for you. I would have made it g- grand for you," he gulped again, looking away from her as he stood apart, no physical contact anymore as the two weirdly looked everywhere around the room but at each other.
"I would have... Umm... Maybe book a theatre for you or a restaurant? Or whatever you liked?" He uttered lowly that caught her attention.
It was peculiar.
Why wouldn't he like this? What's the problem in this? It feels so special already that Arranya could explode like a volcano right now and he's saying he would have made it more grand by adding gifts and flowers or an expensive hotel?
