The elevator doors opened with a ding as Vox walked out into the penthouse floor, it was roughly 11:45pm and there wasn't a light on. He walked across the room before he heard a click and watched as a lamp turned on revealing Valentino sitting there.
"And where have you been" he said in an annoyed tone, he had been sitting up waiting for Vox to get back after taking note of him being more distant and getting home late.
"I was out running some errands babe...nothing to worry about" he said trying to make up an excuse really quick. He moved to the kitchen now as Val was already up. He grabbed himself a cup and went to get some water.
"Don't try that crap...ever since Alastor was spotted you've been different. You've been distant and coming home late" Val said as he got up from the chair and moved towards Vox and standing behind him now.
"Oh again with the Alastor deal..I told you it's not about him" Vox said as he tried to brush off the subject.
"How was your day hun?" He asked now as he spun around, trying to change the subject only to have Val swat the cup from his hand and making it shatter on the floor.
"How do you think my day was!?" He shouted out now.
"Gee Val I don't know, why would I ask a question I already know the answer to" he replied sarcastically as he slipped past him with a sigh and making his way towards the room.
"Are you cheating on me..." he heard from behind him and stopped mid step
"What?" He asked now as he turned around and looked at Valentino standing there with his arms crossed.
"What makes you think I'd be cheating on you!"
"Ever since Alastor came back you've been sneaking off to who knows where, coming home late at nights, you've distance yourself from me and I can't even get any cuddle time!"
"ITS NOT ALWAYS ABOUT YOU VAL!" Vox shouted back out towards him.
"For the love of fuck! Give it a break, I have a life to you know!" Vox yelled back at him now as Valentinos face started to turn red.
"Don't make me the bad guy here!" He yelled back now.
"Will you both give it a break!" Velvetta shouted out trying to make herself be heard as she rubbed the tiredness from her eyes and walking into the room wearing her night gown.
"For fuck sakes you two, some of us like to sleep around here!"
"Well he started it!" Valentino shouted back to her while throwing his arms towards Vox.
"Yeah well I'm finishing it. Sit your dam butt's down!" She said as she watched both Val and Vox move and sit down on opposite couches.
"Now what is the dam problem here between the both of you" she said as she stood up in the middle.
"He's been sneaking out and returning late at night" Valentino started in explaining. Before Vox cut in.
"I have a life!"
"Zip it TV head, you'll get your turn to explain" she said as she turned and looked at Vox now before motioning for Valentino to continue.
"As I was saying..ever since he spotted Alastor on the camera he's been distant..sneaking off and coming home late. I can't hardly even get him to cuddle with me anymore!" Valentino complained out to Velvetta before she finally turned towards Vox.
"Care to explain yourself now?" She asked with a hand on her hip.
"As I mentioned..I have my own life, my own plans im setting into motion, but nooooo it's gotta be Vals way or the highway" he grumbled out as he leaned back in the chair.
"Oh there you go again with all this, I dont even know why I fell for you in the first dam place" Valentino spit out now with his usual smirk trying to hit Vox where it hurts and he got a reaction, just not what he wanted. He was thrown off by Vox starting to laugh some from this chair.
"You know I'm actually glad we had this argument now...it saved me from making a huge mistake" he said now as he stood up from his chair and pulled a ring box from his pocket and tossed it down on the floor infront of Val as if it was just trash he found. The ring box landed in the floor with a light tap.
"I about got engaged to a egotistical fucking asshole, so thank you ever so much for opening my eyes!" He said before he turned to leave the room, not waiting to get a response from Val who was still looking at the ring box on the floor. He hit the button and as the elevator doors opened he walked in before turning and looking back at the now 2 stunned people.
"Thanks Val..owe you one" he said before the door shut.
