Charlie calls her dad for guidance
Takes place before Lucifer appeared in the show.

Charlie sat in her room with the lights out. She just wanted to be alone for the day. The hotel wasn't going at all like she had planned on it being like. She was hoping it would be easy and straight forward, that sinners would be eager to redeem themselves and move up to heaven. But she hasn't had a single person join her hotel and it was honestly starting to weigh heavy on her. She was starting to worry Vaggie a little as she was shutting everyone out and isolating herself in her room more often. Coming up with excuses on why she cant go out to party or stuff.
Charlie wasn't sure what to do at the moment..if she should just give up on the hotel idea and everything or try and push through and hope for brighter days to come. What she needed right now was some advice, a guidance to decide which way to take. Pulling out her phone she started to scroll through the contacts on her phone and her thumb stopped hovering above her moms name, Charlie sat there for a moment wondering if she was the right person to talk to about all this, she moved her thumb and clicked on the name below it. Putting the phone up to her ear as she listened to it ring a few times before it answered.
"Charlie, Its so good to hear from you!" Came her father's cheery voice on the other end of the line.
"Yeah...good to hear from you as well" she said and he could tell something was off.
"Is everything alright sweetie?" He asked as he sat up in his chair.
"Psh me..yeah..everything's fine why wouldn't it be" she said as she tried to play it off before letting out a sigh. She was calling for help, there was no point beating around the bush.
"Actually..no...things aren't going well for me" she said feeling down about it again.
"Im sure you will get through it appleseed, I gotta go for a moment but we can talk tonight if youd want?" He said as her shoulders dropped a little at hearing this.
"Yeah...that sounds good dad" she said with a bit of fake enthusiasm.
"Alright, love you appleseed"
"You to dad" she said not directly returning the love you before she ended the phone call. She dropped her phone onto the desk before putting her head down in her hands.
"Why'd I even bother trying" she mumbled out. She was hoping that her dad wouldve offered more help, maybe she would've been better of trying to call her mom again. She moved her hands away before laying her head down on her desk beside her phone before there was a knock on the door, At first she didnt respond hoping the person would just go away, but they didnt and knocked on the door for a second time.
"Go away Vaggie..." She muttered out some thinking it was just Vaggie checking in on her again and trying to get her to do something.
"Now that's not a way to treat a guest" she heard a voice call from the other side of the door. Picking her head up and looking over at it she soon got up and opened it revealing none other then the short king himself.
"Dad!...but..I thought you was busy?" She asked as she looked at him for a moment.
"Something more important then my appleseed...never." he said before stopping as she reached down and hugged him, at first he didnt do anything before quickly returning it with a smile, it's the first time they have shared a hug since Charlie left to do her own thing, and in Lucifer's opinion it was well over due.
"Not that Im not happy to see you..but..what are you doing here dad?" She asked a bit confused as they separated from the hug.
"I could tell by how you sounded sweetie that you was upset, And figured it was best to talk in person, and your old dad here...well let's just say it was part of a plan to try and cheer you up some" he said with a little smile as he followed Charlie inside the room before they sat down on her bed. Lucifer sat there and listened intently to her as she laid out all her feelings. Her fears of being a failure and all the weight it was bringing down onto her shoulders. She was looking down at the floor after letting it all out before she felt a hand on her shoulder.
"Your being to hard on yourself sweetie" Lucifer said gently as he looked at his little girl, the amount of stress she was putting on herself.
"Your trying to take on a task that's only been tried once before" he said trying help her.
"Your not the Only one who has tried to take upon this gargantuan task" he said as she looked up at him now.
"W..what do you mean..who else tried?" She said as to her knowledge no one else had tried this before.
"Your looking at him Sweetie" he said as he patted her shoulder.
"I tried for years to get Heaven to agree to the idea..but they always shot down my proposals, never giving me the time of day to speak my mind on the subject..and It got to the point where I had given up" he said as he looked down a little himself now as he thought back to all the memories of those days.
"But...I had something that gave me a reason to try" he said as he looked back at her.
"And..what was that?"
"Redemption" he said as she looked at him a bit confused and not understanding.
"I wanted to prove to my father..my brother. To everyone that my idea would work. That it was them who made a mistake about it..but you can see how that went for me"
"I...dont see how this applies to me though?" She said as she tried to figure out how it did.
"Appleseed. You dont have to prove anything, you are loved by me and your friends, and have no responsibility towards the throne yet...so the question Is then..why are you trying so hard to do this?" Lucifer asked as it finally clicked for Charlie. She opened her mouth to answer but stopped as she thought about it and closed her mouth, why was she really fighting to do this?
Lucifer smiled a little as he saw this look, now they was getting somewhere on the problem. She looked over at her dad as he put his hands on her shoulders now as they looked at each other.
"Try....Try to make the world a better place...look inside yourself and realize that changes starts within you appleseed. Plant your feet and stand firm my girl...the only question you must ask yourself..is where do you plant your feet" he said as she nodded.
"I...I want to help change people's lives, I want to help my kingdom when that time comes, I want to prove that...Im not a failure, that I can do anything I put infront of myself" Charlie said as she thought about it. Lucifer listened to her and nodded.
"Seems you have decided to press on with your idea appleseed. Just remember sweetie. The good thing about it... Once you've hit rock bottom, there's only one place left to go" he said as she tilted her head a little bit at this.
"And that's up" he said before she smiled at him again, liking his little saying he had.
"Thanks dad...for coming over today, it ment a lot to me" she said with a smile before Lucifer moved a hand and cupped her cheek a little.
"For you my dear, always" he said before standing up from the bed.
"You have my number if you ever need it, dont be afraid to call me, day or night. For my precious Appleseed I will always make time
he said as Charlie got up and hugged him again.
"If...your free this weekend I'd love to hang out or something?" She said as Lucifer smiled and hugged her a little tighter.
"Id love that sweetie" he said before saying their goodbyes and leaving.
For the first time in weeks Charlie walked into the lobby with the confidence back in her strides and that determined look in her eyes.
"Time to give heaven some hell" she said with a smirk as she looked at the idea board.

Im sorry if this oneshot wasn't up to the normal standards...I had a great idea and then it kinda fizzled some as my brain hit a wall.
I will most likely comeback and try and rewrite this one later and make it better for everyone.

But let me know what you thought?
