Fei awoke to the feeling of slight bumps against her cheek, a warmth around her as she adjusted to the light. She slowly blinked, feeling herself sore but energized. She was being carried by someone, her arms around their neck as the breeze rustled the cloth around her. She looked at the fuzz of blonde hair before murmuring, "Naruto?"

The boy stopped before glancing up at her, smiling widely, "Fei!! You're okay!!" He shouted, placing her down and hugging her tightly. She blinked at him, her memory slightly fuzzy. Still, she smiled weakly as she hugged him back.

"I'm okay. You're okay, too, right?" She asked, looking at him. Both sages and Shizune looked at her with a smile.

"Everyone's okay now, Fei. We're heading back to the village as we speak." Jiraiya said, arms crossed.

"Are you okay to move now? We weren't expecting you to wake up so soon," Shizune asked as both she and Tsunade stepped closer.

"I think so... uh... what exactly happened to me?" Fei asked as she looked at herself. She had her sash covering her head, wrapped around her to cover her ears and mouth. Several areas of her body were bandaged, and she had a cast on her arm. Finally, she noticed that she had on Naruto's jacket, covering her from any cold.

"I'll explain later, don't worry. Just know we did awesome, and Granny over here is gonna fix everything up!!" Naruto exclaimed before getting his head hit by Tsunade.

"Don't call me that, brat!!" She frowned before looking at her, "I've fixed you up so you can go home once we arrive. It's best you don't overexert yourself for a bit."

"Right, thank you," Fei murmured before clutching the jacket. She still felt slightly cold, "Why did you give me your jacket, Naruto?"

"Oh, that! Well, you were cold so I put my jacket on you as we traveled. I didn't want you getting sick after that fight," he sniled at her as she blushed a bit before giggling.

"Hehe, thank you, Naruto," she said sincerely as she kissed his cheek softly. He blushed in return, holding his cheek. He then grinned widely.

"This is the second kiss from a girl I've gotten this week... awesome..." he said as Fei rolled her eyes. The group continued to travel as Fei thought to herself.

She had started to remember her fight with Shiro. A strange sensation taking over. It was cold and distant, machine- like. Not like her at all. As she remembered, she had decided she hated whatever it did to her.

There was no real sense of control when it activated. She hadn't felt a thing until she was forced to by Naruto and his condition. Her mind was almost autopiloting, but she could see it. She was, by all means, conscious. So then...

'What the hell was that?'

"No!! No!!" Shiro gripped the girl in his arms tightly, holding her against his body as he kneeled on the floor, "Fei, stay awake!! Please, just stay awake!!"

The girl was bleeding profusely, a huge hole on her abdomen that he desperately tried to cover. Her pale face was untouched, the only thing there was the blood oozing down a corner of her mouth.

"Fei! Stay strong for me, please!" He yelled out, frantic "Help!! Goddammit! Help me!!"

"For you?" Fei coughed, looking at the boy with weak but hateful eyes, "You... you did this to me."
