The medic guided Fei into the room, the young Sand kunoichi was wrapped in bandages, her head being the most patched. Fei could see a slight red dot under the bandage covering her eye. Tobio was laid on the other bed, a curtain being the only thing that separates the two patients.

"You can take a seat here, young miss. He will wake up soon. Congratulations on passing the preliminaries. Good luck from here on." the medical ninja said as he bowed and left.

"Thank you," Fei said, bowing as she took a seat. She looked at Tobio, waiting for him to wake up. She felt exhausted as well, struggling to remain awake.

'Ah...I'll just fall asleep,' Fei thought as she fell to her slumber.

"Fei...I...I don't think I can see you anymore..." the young Shiro, now looking around 11 or 12 years old, hesitated to say.

'This again?' Fei said as she looked at the two children talking.

"...You...You don't mean that, do you?" Younger Fei asked as he looked away, fist clenched.

"I do mean it, I can't see you anymore..." Shiro answered as he turned to look at her, teary-eyed.

'Good riddance,' Fei responded, looking at the boy with her arms crossed.

"W-why?" Younger Fei whimpered before reaching out, gripping him tightly by the arm, "Did I do something wrong?!"

"No! It's just...I can't! Please let me go!" Shiro exclaimed as he struggled to pull away. Younger Fei insisted, gripping tighter, crying with her eyes closed.

"You have to tell me why! Please!" Fei pulled him back.

"I JUST CAN'T" Shiro growled, his yellow eyes flaring suddenly in an intimidating manner, becoming a glowing yellow with slits for pupils, the center of pupils a light red. Younger Fei flinched as Fei glared, observant.

'What the hell was that? His eyes become brighter with slits now?! Is he also lying about being human too now?'

He looked at her startled form, guilt overtaking him as he covered his eyes, "No...you shouldn't see me like that...I'm really sorry!" He moved back.

"Shiro...?" Younger Fei murmured as she reached out. He flinched away.

"S-stop! Don't touch me!" Shiro yelled as he ran away, crying slightly.

"Wait!" Younger Fei yelled, running after him. Fei followed, seeing both children running towards a busy street crying.

'Hold on! I don't remember this!' Fei yelled as she saw Shiro run into the streets, passing a busy intersection, 'They're gonna get hurt! WE'LL GET HURT!'

Shiro managed to safely cross the street, narrowly missing a truck that skidded away, stuttering. Younger Fei also crossed the street, but failed to see the car approaching her. Shiro turned around at the sound of screeching brakes, seeing Younger Fei get hit by the car, her body bumped harshly against the asphalt of the road. Fei stood there in shock, seeing her younger self bleed from her head and mouth, unmoving.

'I...I don't remember this. And my parents didn't tell me this ever happened. This must be...' Fei tried to release whatever genjutsu was keeping her in, but it didn't work. She tried to wake herself via pain, taking a kunai from her pouch and slicing her palm, 'What's going on? Has this really happened to me? This doesn't make sense!' Her vision was shaking as she looked back towards herself.
