Fei Ren's POV

I woke up with a groan, it was the most uncomfortable sleep I ever had. But to complain about it would be pointless, there's nothing to do but wait it out. I really wish I was in my queen bed. As a rich kid, I've got the comfiest bed in the universe. Sleepovers with my friends feel stiff but it's a new experience that I always enjoyed. Not that I'm completely spoiled, it won't be allowed by my parents. They would whip me to discipline.

I was also supposed to go to a private school, but the kids in my old neighborhood were...very spoiled. I guess I just didn't belong either. I was extremely lonely during my elementary years, as my quiet demeanor was not really normal to them. I guess they wanted someone boastful.

After I left in the middle of 5th grade, I moved to a more southern part of California and entered an elementary there. Then life really took a turn for the better. I met two friends, one was Marie and another was Amber. They were both really accepting and friendly. After hesitating to tell them where and how I lived, they were as equally as accepting. Nowadays, they tease me about it, which I'm completely fine with. They really raised my confidence.

"I wanna go home..." I mumble to myself. I really do, I miss the home, I miss the family, I miss my friends. I never thought that I would feel this lonely again. But here I am, and it's only been one day. I sit up and check on my clothes. Dry now, yay! So far, everything went completely as planned. No one has come to hurt me, no animal has attacked me, no unpleasant weather or conditions, nothing. But with nothing also comes questioning...24 hours. It's noon now, probably like 2:30ish or something and nobody's come for me. Maybe it hasn't been 24 hours...maybe I'm just really scared now.

"EEK!" a short but still panicked squeal escaped my lips. I spoke too soon, rustling could be heard from the bushes behind me. Then a voice, oh crud!

"Ya heard that? Sounds like it came from over here," a voice of a man said. More rustling from the bushes and I can't move my body. I'm too scared.

'Oh, come on Fei, move! FEI REN MOVE, DAMMIT!' I shout in my head. My legs move, running towards the nearest bush. Shit. Shit. Shit. I put both my hands to my mouth in order to stop myself from breathing too loudly.

"Yes, I did. A little girl, huh?" I can hear the smirk in her voice that makes me shake even more, "and I believe she's trying to hide from us."

"Hehe is that so?" an extremely deep voice chuckled. Then I felt someone grab my arm, "the poor girl couldn't even hide her chakra..."

"N-no! Let me go! Let go!" I squirm and yell out. I don't wanna get hurt again, but kicking and hitting will not help me avoid that result. I'm thrown to the ground. I look at the people in front of me. There were 2 men and a woman. The smaller of the two men had a half mask on, a weird gas mask with cargo pants, and a shirt with a vest. Dark hair covered by a...hat??? The girl was also wearing cargo pants with a tank top. She had a small pouch on the side of her waist. She had pale blonde hair in a braid. The big man, probably the boss, was like I said, a tall ass motherfucker and did not look friendly at all. Almost wearing the same thing as the other except bigger and a large bag behind him with absolutely no mask. What the ass do I do now?! How the hell did they..?

"A pretty place you found here girly! I happen to quite like it. So I'll take it as a hideout. Sorry if this was yours," The big guy let out a wheezy laugh. Darnit, what do I do? I have nothing to defend myself with...it's 1 against 3, shit.

"Come here, kid. I'll put you back to sleep," he reached his hand towards me, a purplish aura coming out of it. I'm stuck now with nothing left. He's going to kill me, my time is up. I'm only left to wonder what 'chakra' was or how he was doing that.

(A/N: Sorry for the short chapter. I felt that this chapter should concentrate on a little bit of Fei's past. I also wanted to include stuff in the next chapter, instead of cramping it in this one. There will be more in the next chapter.)
