Hibiki and a Mist ninja stood facing each other as the proctor prepared.

"Do you think he'll be as ruthless as his teammate?" Sakura asked as she looked down.

"I...I don't know really..." Fei murmured as she looked at Hibiki, "But he's going against an older guy...I hope he's okay."

The Mist ninja, Kaito, adjusted his gas mask as he frowned at Hibiki, "You're just a kid...how am I supposed to fight this brat? I could break him."

Hibiki smiled at him, "I wouldn't worry about me, I'm pretty tough. Instead, worry about yourself."

"Hah...you got guts...I'll teach you," the Mist ninja smirked under his mask.

"Alright. Please begin!" Hayate yelled as he jumped back. The mist ninja rushed at Hibiki, sending a punch to the gut. Hibiki jumped over, placing his hand on Kaito's head as he jumped away. The Mist ninja then kicked Hibiki, who blocked it and threw kunai at the man.

"So...what are you teaching me exactly? Seems pretty easy so far..." Hibiki politely smiled.

"Hah, then how about this?!" Kaito said as he prepared a jutsu, crouching, "This will wash that ego away. Water style: Giant Whirlpool."

A giant wave suddenly manifested at the center of the arena, before rushing towards Hibiki, who didn't move.

"Wah!!" Most of the crowd reacted to the sudden shake of the area as the wave moved. Fei adjusted herself as she watched.

"Hibiki!" Fei shouted as he got sucked into the whirlpool, disappearing into the center as the water began to rise upwards before falling into the ground with a slam. Hibiki was laying there, motionless as the Mist ninja got up.

"Hmp, all bark and no bite..." the ninja murmured before looking at the proctor, "It's over."

"Ah, is it?" Hibiki asked as he appeared out of a wall, slowly coming back out, "Freaky when it comes to you, but well...didn't hit me." he then grinned, "Now it's my turn."

"What?!" Hibiki then morphed back into the ground, before multiple Hibikis started to appear from everywhere. Kaito moved to fight each one, knocking every one of them quite smoothly. Hibiki then appeared from behind and smashed his fist into his cheek, sending him flying. Hibiki quickly made hand signs, muttering under his breath. Kaito tensed, expecting to have to dodge something, but nothing occurred. Hibiki smirked as he angered the Mist ninja further.

"Alright, that's it..." the Mist ninja said as he began to cover the arena in Mist.

"This is similar to Zabuza's jutsu...Now we can't see what's going on..." Sakura said as she leaned forward, unable to see.

"Ah! Hibiki...please be careful," Fei murmured as she bit her lip. All they could hear is the sound of metal clashing against metal, occasional steps, and the sound of hits.

Inside the mist cloud, Hibiki was unaffected by the mist. He seemed to have preferred it that way, as he increased his strength, speed, and moves. The Mist ninja could barely keep up, shocked by the sudden change in his moves. After summoning clones, Hibiki had punched him away before jumping upwards and kicking him towards the wall. The Mist ninja tried to counter his next move, however, he was grabbed by something that pulled him against the wall.

"What the...?! What is this?!" he asked aloud as he looked towards the thing wrapped around him. To the crowd, they could only see slight shadowy figures close to the wall, but for Kaito, it was a scaly, red tail, burning him with the heat that emanated from it. Hibiki then appeared in front of him, his clones disappearing.
