Morning arrived bright and early, and Fei was woken up by none other than Naruto, who seemed confident about the day.

"Alright, Fei, I'm gonna need all of your cheering power for when I get this something-something-gan going. That old hag's gonna eat her words!!" He told her as she got ready for the day, twirling her braids into her blue sheath.

"It's called the rasengan, and I've got your back, Naruto. You seem pretty stoked about this. You never wake up this early. I'm usually the one who wakes you up, sleepyhead." Fei giggled as she watched him cross his arm with a grumble.

"Yeah, yeah. I still owe you for waking me up on that one mission guarding that stupid weapons cart," he squinted at her before changing his mind, "Actually, I wasn't even asleep, I was pretending to just in case someone sneaked up on us." He justified, his eyes closed as he sat on her bed. Fei scoffed as she walked towards him.

"Uh-huh, I'm sure you were. The drool was the real star of the trick there, huh?" Fei asked as he got slightly embarrassed, rubbing his head with a small grin, "Well, forget it. I'll hold you accountable some other time. Let's get a move on. The sooner we end this, the sooner we can relax. This place gives me really bad vibes, honestly."

"Yeah, I miss my bed at the village and my premium ramen. But cool ninja like us gotta make some choices to become stronger! And we're kicking ass! We just gotta get this old lady to come with us so that she can fix up Sasuke and Bushy Brows!" He commented as they walked towards the other room. He then knocked on the door of the Lady's room, "Alright, it's time! Come out!!" There was no response from either woman. The kids looked at each other in confusion.

"Uh... maybe it's a hangover? Try again." They knocked again, louder this time. Still nothing. Fei gulped, remembering what was talked about before.

'Did that Orochimaru guy appear again? Did he do something? We gotta check this out...' Fei thought. She quickly grabbed the door handle, finding it open. When they entered, they saw Shizune on the bed and Tsunade missing. They both worked on waking up Shizune, Fei making her tea to give her once she did. When Shizune did wake up, she frantically asked for the day. Once she got that, she ordered them to stay put and she launched herself towards the window. She was stopped by a kunai narrowly missing her face, which was thrown by Master Jiraiya.

The group now had complications, as Tsunade had not only drugged the sage to an almost weakened state the night before, but she had knocked out Shizune before leaving to meet their old comrad. The group made a beeline for the meeting area, Shizune explaining the deal: Tsunade would heal Orochimaru's arms, allowing him to continue his plans to destroy the Leaf. In exchange, she would get her two most beloved people back. Fei shook her head, hoping she wouldn't take that deal, for it would mean certain danger for the Leaf again.

When they arrived at the meeting area, they found deep destruction and Tsunade's robe on the ground. Everyone concluded that she must've rejected the deal, instead wanting to deal with him herself. They continued, this time using Tonton the pig to locate where they ran off to. Tsunade was engaging in battle with Kabuto, who was just about to strike her before the group arrived in time. Fei's eyes widened as she saw the white-haired boy.

"Naruto... Fei..." he muttered, looking at them. Fei observed the sound headband on his forehead and shook her head.

"No way... all this time...?" She didn't even get to finish her question before she looked down. She was livid and disappointed in him and herself. How could she be so naive?

"Kabuto??" Naruto asked, looking at him and then at Fei, trying to figure out what he was doing here and why Fei was so upset.

"I see you two know this guy?" Jiraiya commented as he smirked at his old rival, who smirked sinisterly back. Tsunade growled before pouncing at Kabuto again, elbowing Jiraiya out of the way.
