The warm buzz of excitement filled the room as Umeed entered, her eyes lighting up as soon as she saw Meerab approaching her. Meerab's face was glowing with joy, and she didn't waste a second before embracing her.

"Assalamualaikum! I have been waiting for you since morning,"

Meerab said, squeezing her tightly.

"Wa alaikum assalam,"

Umeed replied, smiling warmly.

Meerab pulled back slightly, giving her a playful glare.

"So, you finally thought to come!"

Umeed chuckled.

"How could I not? You've been continuously messaging me for the past two days. If I hadn't come, I think you would have killed me."

Meerab laughed.

"Well, I would have!"

Just then, Nazia and Salma entered, discussing the wedding preparations. Umeed turned to them, and her smile faltered for a moment as a flicker of recognition crossed her face.

"Assalamualaikum, Nazia aunty,"

Umeed greeted politely, her tone slightly hesitant.

"Wa alaikum assalam, beta,"

Nazia replied warmly.

Meerab beamed, introducing them.

"Mumani, this is Umeed. Haya and I were in a fashion designing course together."

Meerab then turned to Umeed.

"And Umeed, this is my mumani."

Umeed's heart skipped a beat as she pieced things together. It wasn't just a coincidence anymore. Seeing Salma confirm what she had been trying to dismiss all this time.

The realization hit her hard. These were Murtasim and Haya's family. Her mind raced back to her childhood memories-their shared games, laughter, and the warmth of their bond. How could she have not recognized the house, the address? And the man she bumped into earlier he wasn't just anyone. It had to be Farjad.

"Salma aunty... Nazia aunty..."

Umeed's voice softened as she looked at them, her emotions threatening to spill over.

Both women looked at her with slight confusion, trying to place her.

Just then, Haya, Mariyam, and Murtasim walked in, talking amongst themselves. Umeed's eyes lit up as she saw them.

"Haya! Mariyam!"

she called out, rushing toward them and pulling them into a hug.

As they pulled back, Umeed looked toward Murtasim. His face carried the same expression of confusion as Haya's.

"You must be Murtasim,"

Umeed said, her voice filled with nostalgia and familiarity.

Murtasim, Haya, and Mariyam exchanged glances before looking back at her, still unable to place her.

The commotion drew Jalaluddin to the room. He walked in, curious about the unfamiliar face in the house. Umeed turned to him, her smile widening.

"Assalamualaikum, Baba Jaan,"

she greeted, her voice trembling slightly.

Jalaluddin raised an eyebrow, confused.

"Wa alaikum assalam,"
