"Bestieeee, we're hereeeee~" A singing voice cooed, muffled by the distance as the sound of the front door shutting followed suit.
The past few days of school had gone relatively fast and been uneventful thankfully, and it was the weekend before Vena knew it.
Rae had quickly agreed to join her best friend for the mini concert at the bar, and her and Childe had just arrived at her house to pick her up.
"Almost doneeeeee~" Vena called back, eyes still glued to her vanity mirror as she worked to put on the finishing touches of her makeup.
Feet could be heard making their way down the hall, Rae coming to stand in the open doorway just a few moments later.
"Oh my gawd, you look like such a groupie right now." Rae fakely threw her voice as high as she could manage, adding in a ton of sass and a toss of her hand as she playfully teased the other girl.
"Like, I get it, you totally want to fuck the drummer."
Vena was previously cooking up a come back, but the words were long gone now as she busted out laughing at Rae's obnoxious display.
The blonde quickly followed, nearly doubling over at her own joke just from the sheer obscenity she'd uttered, unable to continue the bit.
"Oh god, what'd she say this time?" Childe could be heard calling from the living room, obviously assuming Rae had said something out of pocket as always.
"Get the holy water, please!" Vena yelled down the hall, laughing again as Rae pretended to be offended by the statement.
Child chuckled warmly at that, always amused by the level of goofiness the two girls had always managed to bring to his life. It was often they were play fighting, teasing or messing with each other in some form or fashion, and it was just endless entertainment for Childe.
"We're gonna be late, oh my god hurryyyyyyyy we're gonna miss the entire thingggggg~" Clearly someone was hyped up on caffeine and ready to party.
Vena giggled again, stepping up from her chair to give her full body another good look over and make sure everything was in order and perfect.
The choice of attire today had been a form fitting black body suit, sleeveless with a tasteful amount of cleavage showing through a little window in the chest and her favorite pair of pitch black flared jeans. Since she wasn't sure how long they'd be on their feet tonight, she'd gone with the safer route of ditching her usual high heeled boots for a new pair of black running shoes she'd bought at the mall, with a pretty little gold trim along the bottom.
As always, the necklace Xiao had given her was never removed, and she'd tossed on a couple golden and black bracelets to add just the smallest pop of color.
Her outfit outlined and defined every curve of her body, especially her hour glass hips, and she was hoping it was something Xiao would notice.
Before she'd always just dressed for herself and to look and feel cute, but now she was doing all that on top of wanting to catch his eyes lingering...
How funny these tiny little changes in her life were.
"As always, you're absolutely stunning, girlfriend." Rae praised as usual.
Despite the two girls virtually being polar opposites when it came to both personality, looks and fashion taste, the two always appreciated each other's style and often compliment it. They both loved to hype each other up and Childe thought it was adorable.
"Have you looked in the mirror, miss? I'm practically drooling." Vena had grabbed a zip up jacket from her closet, choosing to just go with the casual yet sleek all black with a pop of gold look, wanting to be more comfortable today since she wasn't sure exactly what to expect.
