She pretended to not have heard what he said, cause what could she say in this situation.
Lae saved her from an awkward situation by saying: "So how did you and Astraea meet?"
He told her the whole story.
When they reached the house, Astraea saw Jayden waiting for her outside, while there was loud music coming from inside the house.
Upon seeing her, he frowned.
Astraea walked towards him: "Aren't you cold?" She said, rubbing her hands down his arms.
He looked fine, but the weather wasn't exactly warm.
"Who's that?" Jayden said, looking behind her. He looked a little familiar to him.
"Troy, nice to meet you. I'm a friend of Astraea's." The boys shook each other's hands.
"Jayden."
"I know." He said.
It was silent for a while. Astraea went along and took Jayden's hand.
Troy saw this and you could feel the anger radiating off of him even though he had a straight face. Jayden sensed this and pulled Astraea next to him. He placed his hand on her waist.
"Let's grab a drink Troy." Lae said, trying to deviate the tension.
"I actually want to talk to Astraea for a bit."
You could hear Jayden's heart thump in this silent atmosphere.
"Can we talk later, I need to talk with him to." Astraea said, indicating to Jayden, who was silent and observing the situation.
When he didn't move, he said: "You heard her."
Astraea wanted the ground to swallow her whole.
Troy knew of him and his family, so he didn't want to have any issues, but he did want the girl. He'll figure something out.
Troy and Laetitia took their leave.
Jayden waited till he was inside, before asking: "I've never seen him before." He stated. Jayden needed to do a digging of his own and then deal with this issue.
"I met him at the party, you were there but we weren't on good terms. Why were you outside?" She furrowed her brows. Trying to make him forget this whole situation.
"I was waiting for you." He was such a cutie to her. The hard exterior wasn't present with her. She wish everyone knew this side of him, but they knew that with her he dropped his guard.
