"Profile picture?"

I looked back at Daniel, who sat infront of me, holding a picture tightly in his hands like it was something precious.

"Is that what you wanted to show me?" I asked back.

He nodded softly, his lips pressing into a thin line as he handed me the photo. Before I could even get a proper look, the once-quiet classroom erupted into chaos.

Students swarmed in from all directions, pushing and pulling as they craned their necks to get a glimpse of the picture.

"Whoa! It looks amazing!" someone to my right exclaimed.

"Let me see!" another shouted from the left, nearly knocking me off my chair in their eagerness.

I gritted my teeth, trying not to topple over from the sheer force of the crowd.

'Geez, calm down...'

Amid the commotion, my gaze then wandered across the room to where Crystal sat by herself.

Her eyes were fixed on the scene, her expression calm but undeniably intrigued.

Just as I began to stand, Daniel's voice brought me back.

"Are you okay with not getting to do the profile picture?" he asked softly, his tone almost hesitant.

"Who? Me?" I replied, blinking at him in surprise.

Daniel nodded, his eyes searching mine, almost as if he was worried I'd suddenly burst into tears or something.

I let out a laugh, shaking my head. "Upset over a profile picture? Are you serious? I'm actually thankful. I got the day off and finally caught up on my sleep."

His brows furrowed for a moment, but as I smiled at him, his expression softened. "Well, as long as you're okay with it," he murmured.

The bell rang, signaling lunchtime, and the classroom began to empty as everyone shuffled out.

Daniel and I grabbed our things and walked out together, blending into the sea of students that were heading toward the cafeteria.

"So," I said, nudging him lightly with my elbow, "you survived the chaos of the profile picture frenzy. How does it feel to still be standing?"

Daniel chuckled softly, his ears turning just the slightest bit red. "It's not that big of a deal," he muttered.

"Tell that to the swarm earlier," I teased, earning a small smile from him.

After grabbing our trays of food, we found a quiet spot in the corner of the cafeteria and sat down.

The steady hum of chatter and clinking cutlery filled the space as I unwrapped my sandwich. Just as I took a bite , a familiar voice boomed across the room.

"Daniel! You're a celebrity?!"

I nearly chocked on ny sandwich as Vasco came barreling over, his face lit up with excitement.

His voice cut through the cafeteria noise like a horn, drawing the attention of several nearby tables.

Daniel froze mid-chew, his eyes wide with shock and a tinge of embarrassment. "Huh?" he managed, swallowing quickly. "Hey, Vasco. Nope, I'm not a celebrity. I'm just a trainee."

"A trainee?!" Vasco practically shouted, his excitement only intensifying. He clapped Daniel on the shoulder, nearly making him drop his fork. "That's awesome Daniel!"

Daniel scratched the back of his neck, clearly uncomfortable with the sudden spotlight. "It's not a big deal," he said, his voice quieter now.

Vasco, however, was undeterred. His grin stretched ear to ear as he leaned closer. "So, you are a celebrity, right?"
