A few months had passed, and I hadn't seen Logan in school at all. That couldn't be right. The last time I checked, he only secluded himself for a month , mourning the painful truth of Zoe liking handsome men and not piggies.
So why was he gone this long?
It can't be because of me, right?…Right. It couldn't be. I was obviously being rude that day.
"Arghhh." I groaned out loud, slumping further into my desk. The thought clawed at me again and again, an itch I couldn't scratch off. Something just wasn't right.
Or maybe… maybe it was right. After all, this was a manhwa world where anything could happen.
"ARGH, I DON’T KNOWWW!" I screamed before smashing my forehead against the wooden desk. The bang echoed embarrassingly across the classroom.
A gentle tap on my shoulder made me peek up from my sulking. It was Jay. His brows were knitted with genuine concern, and honestly, I didn't blame him. I probably looked like a lunatic.
He started flashing weird little hand gestures, almost like he was silently asking if I was okay. Watching him fuss over me like that was so unexpectedly cute that I couldn’t help but laugh.
"Gosh, you're so cute, you know." I giggled, resting my chin on my arm while staring straight into his eyes.
Jay's cheeks flushed pink instantly, his lips parting like he wanted to say something but couldn't. The sight made me burst into even more laughter.
"Aww, are you embarrassed?" I teased, grinning at him. His ears turned red too, confirming my suspicions.
Before I could tease him further-
BANG!
A sharp slam silenced the entire classroom. My laughter caught in my throat as all eyes turned toward the source of the noise.
And there he was.
Logan.
But not the Logan I remembered.
His frame slimmed down, sharper, taller, and… somewhat confident. My eyes widened in disbelief. What was he doing here?
With every step he took, my heartbeat quickened, thumping against my ribcage like a drum.
'Don't come any closer!' I begged silently, panic crawling up my spine.
Zoe sat a few seats away, still focused on her work. Of course. He must be heading toward her, like in the original plot.
But before I could sigh in relief-
He stopped.
Right in front of me unfortunately.
Towering above my seat, his shadow cast over me.
"Look carefully at this face. I’m a handsome guy now," Logan said firmly, his voice deep and resolute.
I froze. My mouth hung slightly open, but words refused to come out. Why… why was he talking to me? And what kind of corny line was that?!
"…Uh… you're… talking to me?" I managed awkwardly, my voice almost squeaking.
The entire classroom erupted in hushed murmurs. Whispers spread like wildfire, and heat flushed up my neck. No, no, no—this was not what it looked like!
"If not you, who else would I be talking to?" Logan replied without hesitation, his gaze pinning me down.
"Haha… yeah… right…" I gave a forced laugh, breaking eye contact as fast as I could. My eyes darted toward Jay, silently begging him to throw me a lifeline.
