Kalani stirred awake from her slumber as she felt Joe's grip on her waist loosen and he got out of bed. She opened her eyes slowly as she saw Joe standing by his nightstand and turning his alarm off. "Good morning baby" Joe said as he leaned down and kissed her cheek. His morning voice very prominent and very attractive. She smiled and mumbled a small morning to him. " I have to get dressed and go to the facility you can stay here. You're coming to the game right?" Joe asked her. "Yes of course i wouldn't miss it for the world." she replied.
The game had passed but not quickly at all. The game was nerve wrecking and Kalani was on the edge of her seat the whole time. The bengals pulled it through in over time. She was over joyed and she knew Joe would be happy too. During the game she saw many cameras flashing at her and she knew everyone would be talking about how she was there and in Joe's box, but she didn't really care she was enjoying the moment.
Joe had texted her and told her she could head back to his place and he would be there as soon as he could. Kalani drove off and stopped at the store to buy cookie dough, deciding she would make him cookies as a reward. When she arrived back at Joe's house she wasted no time getting the cookies ready not knowing exactly when Joe would arrive home. The sound of the garage door alerted her of Joe's presence just as the beep on the oven went off signaling that the cookies were done.
"It smells so good in here" Joe said as he placed his bags down on the floor and wrapped his arms around Kalani's waist. "I made cookies, but they need to cool down." Kalani replied leaning her head back on to Joe's shoulder. "Thank you" Joe smiled as he placed a kiss on Kalani's cheek. " The game was amazing i'm so glad i saw it in person" "Me too, I think you're my good luck charm." Joe said chuckling. "Maybe I am" Kalani replied back with a smirk. "I'm going to take a quick shower and then i'll be back down ok?" Joe asked as he unwrapped his arms from around her waist. "Ok" Kalani whispered softly as she went to grab the oven mitts from the drawer.
As Joe headed up stairs Kalani's phone started to ring. She grabbed her phone and it was a call from Paige and Brooke. She placed the cookies on top of the counter and picked up.

"Who were you on the phone with?" Joe asked as he came down the stairs. " Just Paige and Brooke, they were a little sad i didn't tell them about us." Kalani chuckled as she took in Joe's appearance. He was wearing grey sweatpants and a tight compression shirt that hugged his body perfectly. "you look really good" Kalani said as she went over to Joe. "Really" he smirked already knowing the answer. "mhm" she replied. " Hey is it ok if i post this?" Joe asked as he grabbed his phone and showed Kalani the picture. "Of course" she smiled, and for the rest of the night the two spent time in each others embrace
