Kalani and Joe were now in New York for the Bengals game against the Giants. Kalani was extremely happy to be in New York especially with Joe. There was just something about it that made everything feel so special.
It was around 8pm on Saturday night and Kalani had just left Joe's Hotel room. Her room was on the floor two levels down, so she didn't have to travel very far. Joe had told Kalani after the game on Sunday he would take her to downtown New York for shopping. She told him it wouldn't be necessary and she knew he would be tired but he said he really wanted to and so she obliged.
Everyone was now talking about the post Joe had made on Kalani's birthday. She really didn't care that much. She was happy with Joe and what other people said didn't matter to her. She knew it would be hard with both their lives being so public, but surprisingly she was also receiving lot's of support.
Kalani took a quick shower and got into bed. She texted Joe goodnight even though she knew he was already asleep since he texted her while she was in the shower. He always tended to fall asleep right after he texted her.
As Kalani laid in bed, she felt like something was missing and she instantly knew what it was, Joe wasn't there. The other side of the bed was cold and empty. As soon as the realization set in she was scared. She didn't want anything to go wrong between her and Joe. Once she finally stoped her spiraling thoughts she was able to fall asleep.
The next day she woke up to a text from Joe saying, "Good morning baby I'm heading to the stadium now text me when you get there so i can see you" Kalani smiled as she turned her phone off and started to get ready for the game.
As soon as Kalani arrived she texted Joe and told him she was here. He told her to go to the stands by the field and he would be waiting there. "Hi baby how did you sleep" Joe said as Kalani leaned over and hugged Joe. They knew there was many eyes on them but they didn't care. " i slept ok i'm just happy to be here and watch you" Kalani said as she smiled. Joe and Kalani talked for a bit before Joe had to go finish warm ups. As Joe walked away she couldn't help but feel happy.
During the Bengals opening drive Joe got a touchdown and Kalani could not have been happier. She was overcome with joy and was smiling for the rest of the game. The score ended up being 17-7, Bengals winning. Kalani headed back to the hotel and got ready to go out to New York as Joe said he would be ready to go in about an hour. As she waited for Joe she decided to post on instagram.
