Kalani's birthday is in a few days and she is so excited. She would be turning 25. Her birthday is October 11th, the friday before the Bengals game in New York. Joe said he has something planned for her the day of her birthday and begged her to come with him to New York. She ofc said yes.
The new couple loving every second they've spent with each other. Currently it was Tuesday and Kalani was at her apartment packing up. Next week her lease would be up on the apartment, and she knew it would be soon considering her and Joe only started dating a couple days ago but she was moving in with him. Joe had told her that it didn't have to be like they were living together, she could sleep in one or the guest rooms since he knew it was a big step just not wanting to lose her. She assured him it was ok and she wasn't scared of the big step.
Joe had told Kalani that after his practice finished he would come to the apartment and help her with all the boxes. She told him he didn't have to but he insisted anyway. Kalani didn't mind packing because it kept her mind off the fact that her manger and music producer has been telling her she should start working on more songs so she can release an album soon. She loved writing songs and singing them more than anything but she was stuck. She had so many ideas for songs, only issue was that they were all love songs and she didn't want to put that on Joe.
At around 4 Joe texted Kalani and told her he was on the way. She put all the boxes neatly by the door to make them easier to transport. She looked around her apartment knowing she had so many good memories, but excited to make even more with Joe. She took a picture and just as she posted it to her story Joe knocked on her apartment door. "Hi baby" Joe said as he took Kalani in a hug. " Hi my love" she said back enjoying the embrace. "Are these all the boxes?" Joe asked looking around at the small amount of boxes. " Uhm yeah i wasn't planning on staying her for too long so the rest of it is at my parents but they said they would send it over soon." Kalani answered. " Ok good well let's go" Joe said grabbing the first box with Kalani following shortly behind him.
It had now been about an hour and they were done loading all the boxes into the car. "Are you ready to go" Joe pondered looking at Kalani. "Very, but i'm a little hungry can we go eat?" "Ofc do you have a place you would like to go?" "Can we go to this salad bar it's 10 minutes up the road." "Let's go" Joe said as he put the car in reverse. " It's an outside based restaurant by the way people might see us are you ok with that?" Kalani asked as she squeezed Joe's hand that was on her thigh. " Yes I um actually wanted to talk to you about that, for your birthday can i post some pictures of us i don't have to call you my girlfriend i just um." Joe rambled on before Kalani stoped him and said " Of course you can I just wanted to wait until you were ready, I know you don't like having your life in the lime light." " I want the whole world to know" He said smiling and looking ahead.
After they grabbed their food and headed back to his, no, their house the two unpacked Kalani's belongings rather quickly. They decided they should head upstairs to the room and find something to watch. They both showered Kalani first and then Joe, got ready for bed, and laid down. " Hm should we watch star wars" Joe said clicking through all the options. "Baby I love you but no" Kalani said laughing. "OMG BABY CAN WE WATCH GREY'S ANATOMY." Kalani said excitedly as she saw it pop up on the screen. " Isn't that the doctor show?" Joe asked looking at her. "Yes but it's also so much more please please." "If that's what you really want yes." He said putting it on.
After three episodes Joe's eyes began to get heavy and Kalani noticed almost immediately. "Let's go to bed baby" She said as she stroked his hair. " Are you sure" Joe asked lazily as his eyes began to shut. "I'm positive" Kalani said as she turned the tv off and her lamp and snuggled up next to Joe. The two fell asleep almost immediately. They tended to notice this happen often when they were together. They felt safe, comfortable.
