AUTHOR NOTES;
Hey guys.... How ya been?
😅 sorry for the wait. Hope you guys enjoyed this update.It has been wild, but I did absolutely want to get out a chapter before the beginning of the New Year. I know it's been a while, so my writing style may have shifted a little bit, but I did my best to get back into the mindset of the story.
Without further ado;

Mallory's mind was reeling as she walked out of the video store on Marko's arm. Paul closely at her side, the two golden haired vampires flanking her sides and almost seeming to cover her blind spots instinctually.
Mallory finally snapped back to her senses when she went to get on the back on Dwayne's bike and felt the hand on her arm tighten.
Confusion filled her body as she saw Marko scowling slightly before he began to almost herd her towards his own bike. She blinked as she found herself following his insistent pace, looking to Dwayne and David for answers.
But the two boys just nodded and gave a chuckle. David even saying; "he needs to reassure himself." And not elaborating more with that infuriating grin of his.
With no answers to the many questions that were suddenly racking her mind, Mallory allowed herself to be put on the back of Marko's bike, only feeling the tension in his body begin to drain when she settled her weight against him and had her arms firmly around his waist.
Despite not knowing the smallest of the pack's casual mannerisms all that well, -Not that she knew any of them all that great to be fair - Mallory was suddenly incredibly suspicious something was wrong. Her skepticisms were confirmed when the boys whooped and hollered as they started up their bikes and Marko didn't join them, just reached down the grab her arm and tighten her hold on him.
Mallory finds herself wincing as she was jerked closer to him, almost hitting her nose against his back.
"Hey, easy! Any closer and I'll be inside you." She hisses out in a quiet hush. Reaching up to pat his chest with the hand Marko wasn't holding. "Marko, what's going on? Is everything alright?"
"It's Fine čoxani, just hold tight." He rumbles, his back vibrating against her.
"Marko, hey, wait." She carefully places her hand over his on the steering. "Talk to me, what's wrong? Did I do something?"
Her mind filtered through possible scenarios and actions that may've ignited his temper, but she was coming up with nothing.
"Babe, it's fine. Let's go." Short, clipped words. The conversation was done.
Mallory found herself looking over at the other boys nearby but they just gave her an infuriating non-answer smile and reeved their engines as the four bikers took off towards the boardwalk.

Something was wrong with Marko...
Of that, Mallory was now undoubtedly certain.
He was pushy tonight, especially when it came to her for some reason, and she didn't have the answers to why.
When they had found themselves in a crowded area, Marko had quite literally dragged her away to a more isolated area.
When some random guy had tried to flirt with her when she was left by herself for a second to use the restroom, Marko had appeared like a tempest unleashed and got into a very hostile shoving match with the guy. Throwing insults and putting distance between her and the man. Mallory had seen his eyes flash gold as his killing intent rose and it was David and Dwayne who had stepped in before things had a chance to escalate further.
