"Damn it!" Tristan said running his hand through his hair frustrated "calm down, Tristan" Airi said placing her hand on him before he slapped her hand away "calm down? I'm being punished, why is the whole kingdom having to witness Lydia enjoy her new pirate life and not just that people are talking, they say it's good that I killed Lydia that now she is free and can live a new life with that pirate hunter" Tristan said "...my words were thoughtless my apologies" Airi said backing away "father found out I dug her grave, I think he's contemplating my succession to the throne, the people like Lydia even after seeing her personality in her new world" he said.
"They are fooled by her, she walks around in revealing clothing, she talks in such an uncouth manner, she's aggressive towards someone who is her captain, she's a harlot yet the people don't realize it how do we expose her" he said "Your highness what if I told you I found a way to expose her" Airi said sitting beside him eager to tell him her plans "what? How?" He asked turning to her "a couple days ago I overheard someone say there's a wizard or a spirit that can do just as much as the god neveria, if we ask that spirit to take us to her world we can expose her lies to everyone in this world and hers, then she'll be an outcast" Airi said "yes, then we'll bring her back here and she'll have no choice but to stay and be my queen" Tristan said happily "what?" Airi said shocked at his words before they got transported to where they usually go to watch Anna new life.
"Last we were here we saw the straw hats fight some guys that took their pirate flag" Lars said excited "the crew were more concerned about Luffy scolding them than anything" his friend John said finding a seat with his friends.
With Anna
"Nami the newspapers here!" Usopp yelled as a bird landed on The Thousand Sunny "thanks Usopp" Nami said running out and paying the bird collecting a newspaper "ah" Nami said staring at the paper "what's wrong?" Robin asked "seems like a kingdom called Verdantia is dying and about to be destroyed because of a civil war" Nami said causing Anna to drop her watering can "what's with you?" Zoro asked opening one of his eyes "let me see" anna said running to the navigator "?" "...No" she said letting the paper fall.
"My home, it's in trouble. My once beautiful kingdom is dying" Anna said biting her lower lip trembling "what's wrong?" Nami asked "all this while I was here enjoying myself my people are suffering, what do I do?" She said in tears "Anna calm down and explain everything" Usopp said "I've told you I was a princess, verdantia is a kingdom flourishing with beautiful plants and everything but now it's dying, according to this the king has avoided public eye refusing to face the people and the other newspapers said the island is dying, but this shouldn't be happening" she said as the rest of the crew gathered.
"They say the king is able to use a power that grows plants and nourish the earth none of this should be happening" Robin said "no matter what has happened in the past father always made sure the kingdom was thriving even when he was very sick once, so why is the island being poisoned to death and my father isn't doing anything about it, something's wrong with my kingdom and my father...I need to go home" Anna said tossing the paper and heading to her room to pack.
"I didn't think she was really a princess" Frankie said drinking some Cola "we did meet her in the castle" Nami reminded "...oh yea and I saw her dad and family picture" Luffy laughed before Nami hit him "why didn't you clarify this before?!" Nami yelled hitting him "I'm sorry" Luffy said his face bruised "where're you going Anna?" Chopper asked as Anna left her room "I need to go home, something's wrong with my father, he's in trouble he's probably dying I need to help him, I may not have inherited much of the power to control plant but I can do something with my devil fruit, at least I can try even die trying" Anna said before Luffy stopped her.
"Then we'll take you! No problem!" Luffy shrugged "what? It might steer our course away from our original navigation, I have an eternal pose home so I can find my way, that log pose will change directions" Anna said "that's great more adventure!" Luffy laughed "! Luffy I know how determined you are in helping your friends but you can't help me with this one, I need to do this myself you can't stray from your goal" she said stopping him "Anna without you on this ship, it's no fun. We'll help you save your kingdom and be on our way to our next destination" Luffy said walking off laughing "I-I" she said shocked "don't even bother you know how stubborn he can be, you're not winning this one" Usopp said sweat dropping "alright guys ready the sails we're heading to Verdantia" Nami ordered as the guys scurried around the ship.
"Anna tell us more about your home island, is it like Alabasta?" Robin asked sitting beside Anna "oh no, Verdantia is-was such a beautiful island, it was very renowned for its lush forests and flourishing plant life, our farmers worked real close with the government and celestial dragons and provided their fruits and vegetables because of how rich our soil is. My father, King Florian, possessed unique powers to manipulate and grow plants, keeping Verdantia prosperous and peaceful. Papa was so in tune with the whole island that he knew if a pirate came on the island, he'd be at the castle and attacking intruders, so I don't know why and how someone can do this to him" Anna said taking in a deep breath.
"There was an article on a rebellion, do you think it will happen?" Sanji asked "it's possible, there's no soil for growing anything, the water is poisoned, people are dying and my father refuses to show his face and talk about what's happening, I'm positive it'll happen" Anna said in tears "don't worry Anna, we'll take you home and find out what's going on then we'll continue our adventure" luffy said happily "yea!" Usopp and chopper said as the three ran off to play "those insensitive idiots" Nami said angry before Anna let out a giggle "it's fine" Anna said smiling.
As the Thousand Sunny neared the island, they were greeted by the sight of vast forests stretching toward the horizon. "Hey Anna the last time we came here there was lots of fog, what happened now?" Usopp asked "the fog is a gateway, you can come here using any of the many fogs around the world that's how our sailors can return home after let's say a fishing trip in the south blue" Anna said "amazing-we're docking!" Chopper said as the ship dropped anchor "how beautiful" Nami said admiring the forest before noticing the black, withered vines snaked through the trees, and the air felt thick with decay.
"We're too late!" Anna gasped, her heart sinking "come on Rowen" Anna said picking up the cub and getting off the ship "Anna" Nami said watching her check the roots of a tree "m-my kingdom is dying" she said biting her lower lip "stop with the tears damnit, stop crying and put some work to get things right!" Zoro said towering over her "zoro you jerk!" Usopp yelled "how could you!" Nami yelled wanting to hit him "no he's right I really should stop with the tears but I wasn't crying" Anna said giggled standing up "there's a city close to here Aokiba, we should stop there first to see how things are before going to the capital where the castle is, we can learn more about the revolution" she said walking to the place "you jackass! How dare you say that to Anna?! Don't you know she's heart broken!" Sanji yelled hitting Zoro as the two began to fight "shut up stupid cook!" Zoro yelled.
The Straw Hats quickly disembarked, and Anna led them through the familiar forest paths, her mind racing. "Are we there yet?" Luffy asked after two hours of walking "yea" Anna said reaching a town "Does anyone have water?" A woman asked running around "woman we're all trying to survive here, we can't give you our water" a man said staring at the woman "please my baby, he needs water or he'll die, I can't produce milk to give him please" the woman begged "can I get a barrel?" Anna asked walking up to a stall owner "? Sure" the stall owner said handing Anna the empty barrel "here" Anna said handing the woman the barrel of fresh water "water? Ah princess Annabelle!" The woman said happy "Princess? You're back, you can finally help the kingdom by curing the land" The people said surrounding her.
"I-I'm not sure I can do that I'm sorry" Anna said apologetically "of course you can, you're the princess you have the royal family's blood coursing through your veins, we're sure you can-" a man said before Anna stopped him "I'm sorry I can't" Anna said walking away "what did they mean?" Franky asked still looking at the woman with her barrel "my family has the power to manipulate plant life, my ability is not as strong" Anna said walking to a pub.
"Did you hear? That pirate crew haven't left the capital for some time now" a man said shocking Anna "pirates in the capital? What pirate crew?" Anna asked shocked "you haven't heard? For some reason the king welcomed pirates and now they're acting like they run the place and the king and his guards haven't done anything about it" the civilian said "that's nice of your old man" Luffy said after the two men left "my father would never let pirates roam the streets, we need to go to the palace" Anna said walking out the pub.
They reached the kingdom's capital, where black thorn vines wrapped everywhere. "Wow, thorn vines everywhere" Sanji said reaching the capital "father!" Anna yelled running towards the royal palace "what's with her?" Franky asked as the crew followed after her "princess!" Three maids said running towards Anna "I want to see my father" Anna said before all three maids picked her up "Anna where're you going?!" Chopper asked "stay here and give me a few minutes" she said disappearing.
