"I can't believe our luck, that monkey almost sunk us" Usopp said fixing the ship "seems to me this busted old ship is on her last leg" Zoro said "we need a new ship, or at least a shipwright" Anna said leaving her room with a paper in hand "how dare you?! You do know the origin of this ship don't you?!" Usopp asked angry "don't worry usopp the merry is an important part of our crew, and we all know we have to take care of her, you shouldn't take everything so personal" luffy said "you're right, I'm sorry ah Anna What's that you got there?" Usopp asked cleaning his tears.
"That map of sky island, I made a copy" Anna said as Nami collected it "wow, such detailed work, I knew I could trust you" Nami said admiring the art "where to now?" Anna asked "we left mock town and headed east, our destination is here to meet that man, what's his name again?" Nami said "mont blanc cricket" Robin said "huh? I swear I've heard that name before, maybe in my history books" Anna said "you're sure he'll be able to help us out right?" Nami asked "wow amazing!" Usopp and luffy both said admiring a castle "that's where he lives? It's a palace!" Luffy said "it's very ugly" Anna said disgusted "look closer" Zoro said as luffy got off the ship.
"What! It's a fake!" Luffy yelled "his actual house is actually half that size what you see is a fake" Zoro said "why exactly did cricket leave his home and come live here?" Nami asked "i don't know all the details but I think it's because of his belief, he believes that there's a large amount of gold somewhere in the hills of Jaya" Robin said "money?" Anna said surprised "so he's here searching for some buried treasure?" Nami asked "I don't know" Robin said as Nami giggled getting off the ship.
"Now I remember where I've heard the name Mont Blanc, it was from that story book" Anna said sitting on a tree stump "what are your thoughts?" Nami asked after reading the book "they say the book is a lie not just by the title, the king of that time was a sham and to get more people to like him he had the story book created, so honestly who knows what you can believe from reading it" Anna said "so it's useless" Nami said placing the book back down before hearing luffy yell "who the hell are you?! Relaxing in someone house without permission! This is my house and I suggest you leave" a man said jumping out the water ready to fight "hurry Usopp move it, fish luffy out the sea!" Sanji said running to fight.
"I need some cold towels" Chopper said helping the man "what's caisson disease?" Zoro asked "so this man is really sick?" Luffy asked opening the window as chopper explained what the illness was "what is he doing diving to the point of having a disease?" Anna asked "I don't know but he's lucky to be alive, in some cases the disease an cause death so he's really lucky" Chopper said "hm, those monkeys, didn't one help us try to salvage that ship and the other almost ripped our ship apart?" Anna asked pointing at a picture "they that's true!" Luffy said running to the picture before the men entered the room "hey old timer what happened?!" The monkeys said "what in the world are you people doing here? And what the hell ate you doing to our friend?!" The men asked as Usopp and chopper ran around.
"We're trying to help so I suggest you either lend us a hand or find someone else to bother" Luffy said "don't antagonize them luffy you know what they're capable of!" Usopp said screaming before the men cried "thank you guys!" They both said causing chopper and Usopp to stop running around. "Those three sure seem to be getting along nicely" Usopp said as Luffy talked to Masira and Shoujou "they have things in common" Zoro said "like the lack of common sense" Anna said from the window "hey luffy he's up" Chopper said running out the house.
"I'm sorry for attacking you earlier I thought you were just after my gold" Cricket said smoking "did somebody say gold~" Nami said happily "what exactly was it you wanted to ask me?" The man asked "we're searching for sky island and we were told you might be able to get there" luffy said before the man bursted out laughing "don't tell me you really believe that place exists" the man laughed "you mean there's no sky island? Are you sure?" Luffy asked shocked "I'm not sure, nobody knows if it exists or not, I know of only one man who's seen the island but he's known as a liar of epic proportions" the man said causing Luffy to turn to Usopp.
"There's an old fairy tale that the people of the north blue know very well, it's called Noland the liar" the man continued as luffy turned to Usopp again "stop looking at me luffy my names not Noland" Usopp said "now that i think of it Noland family name is Mont Blanc does that mean you two are related somehow?" sanji asked "is it true and is the island mentioned in the fairy tale?" Nami asked shocked before the man explained his family history. "Cricket you claimed Noland was telling the truth, how are you so sure he really was telling the truth about the island? After all he is known as a liar" Anna asked sitting on the bed crossing her legs "Anna!" Nami scolded.
"...he said so in his logbook" The man said shocking the crew "log book?" Nami said as he handed her the logbook to read "wow, sky island must really exist!" Luffy said happily "robin was right!" Usopp said as the boys cheered "I didn't think it existed" Anna said surprised "then why push him to reveal it?!" Nami asked "I wouldn't exactly say I pushed him but more like I gave him a little nudge to tell us" Anna said.
Later that evening
"How did this turn to a party?" Anna giggled watching the guys eat and play "they're so carefree and stupid" Nami said disappointed "the skulls right eye, that's where I saw the gold" Cricket said in front of Robin as she read Noland logbook "?" "Those words smeared with tears are the last words Noland wrote in his logbook" he said "is it a treasure map?" Anna asked "the skulls right eye, that's where I saw the gold, that very same day Noland was executed, I still don't know what it means and the blank pages that follow gives us no clue" Cricket said drinking.
"The gold is beautiful and was it was crafted is also very detailed and carefully thought" Anna said picking up the gold bell Cricket showed them "what can you tell from them?" Cricket asked "all I can say is that it's real gold and very detailed, anything else will need more looking into I can tell you it was definitely made long before Nolan set foot on the island this is old gold, the bird itself is ugly looking" Anna said "this is called a south bird, you can still find them on the island today" Cricket said "sailors have used them in ancient times to help them navigate" Masira said before stopping mid sentence "you guys need to get to the forest on the south side of the island right away, you've gotta capture one of this birds and quickly" Cricket said "what why?" Usopp asked "tomorrow you're gonna sail for the knock up stream, it lies directly south of here, how are you gonna get there?" Cricket asked.
"We just sail the ship south of course" luffy said "have you forgotten this is the grand line?" Cricket asked "but without a land mass to lock unto we'll be lost at sea" Anna pointed out "what do we do?" Nami asked "if you can lay your hands on one of these birds, certain animals are known to have a very accurate sense of direction as if they're born with a natural compass" cricket said as luffy laughed "that makes Zoro dummer than an animal" luffy said "oh yea right like you have and room to talk" Zoro said "so this bird must be very in tune with the south, am I right?" Anna asked pointing at the bird "precisely, no matter where or what it's body will always point in the same direction south, you see if you don't get to that forest and catch one of the birds then kiss your only chance to sky island goodbye!" Cricket said turning to Usopp, Chopper and Luffy's dumbfounded faces before they ran out the house.
"Zoro I'm scared" Anna said grabbing unto Zoro's arm as they walked the forest "can someone remind me how we got in this mess?" Nami asked "get off me" Zoro said trying to shake her off his arm "you swore to protect me!" She yelled "wha-when?!" Zoro yelled before hearing a peculiar sound "that sounded peculiar" the crew all said "that must be the bird" luffy said happily "three nets three teams, let's split up and bag that bird" Sanji said as the team split up.
"Ahh! I can't, my heart is too frail for this" Anna said falling to her knees after Zoro killed a centipede "calm down" Zoro said picking the bug up "ahh!" Anna screamed as a tarantula fell in front of her "I'm done" She said falling back unconscious "damn it, there's definitely something wrong with her" Zoro said annoyed throwing her over his shoulder.
