My birthday was coming up & the fact that I was turning 38 had me more excited to celebrate Reid turning 7. He had a rough couple of months as he endured tests & counseling sessions, while meeting countless doctors. Having had Diabetes since I was 12 made me empathize with him. I knew exactly how he felt. He had been so brave, too & had been working so hard to try to be better in school, that I wanted to do something special with just me & him for our birthdays.
The day before our birthday celebration, Reid's class had a field trip to a museum & Demi signed us up to be chaperones. "So what? Are we gonna chaperone every field trip & school dance from now on?" I asked as I was putting my shoes on that morning.
I heard Demi laugh as she was putting on her makeup in our bathroom. "We should be active parents, Nick. And, Blanda is room mother, so she asked & I thought it would be fun. Besides, she's dragging Joe along, too. You won't be surrounded by just kids & women."
I smiled at that thought. My brother going, did make it seem more appealing. We were just as close as we ever were, maybe even more so. Kevin had moved here a few years ago, after Dani's dad passed away & her mom moved in with her sister. They went back to visit over the summer, often, but their kids went to school here & they lived in a nearby neighborhood. My brothers & I were really close & did a lot of things together. At least once a month, we'd go golfing with our dad. Joe & I hung out more often since we only lived a few streets away from each other.
Demi came into the room & I grabbed her arm as she breezed past me. "You know you don't play fair, my love." I said as she looked down at me.
"What? Play fair at what?" She asked, looking genuinely confused.
"You're gonna make all the other moms look like bag ladies. Do you have to look so hot for a class trip to the museum?" I asked, looking her up & down & licking my lips.
She sighed & groaned as she chuckled at me. "Oh stop it. I'm wearing pants & a button up shirt. How do I look even remotely hot?" She walked toward her vanity & bent to look at the mirror. Her ass, in the tight dress pants, was like a beacon to me as I stood up & went to stand behind her. I ran my hand along smooth curves & she sighed again, this time sounding annoyed. "Nick. Stop. I need to get ready. We have to be there early to help get the kids on the bus."
I laughed under my breath. "Sorry. But you do look hot. Just letting you know."
She glanced at me in the reflection of her mirror as she blotted her lips. "Thank you." She winked at me, then went back to her makeup.

Once we were in Reid's classroom, Blanda gave us our child assignments. Each chaperone got four kids to keep track of & when I saw the names on my list, I sighed. I had Reid, which was fine, but then I saw the name, Jonny Lee. He was this obnoxious kid that was always in trouble & being annoying. Joe came to look over my shoulder & chuckled when he saw I had Jonny in my group. I glared at him & he shut his mouth, quickly.
