I felt Derek's lips on my chin, so I knew the dance was over & I was proud of myself for not having messed up, at all, during that run through. I was breathing hard as Derek pulled me up to stand with him, then hugged me, chuckling with pride. I was giddy, myself, & then I saw Nick standing across the room. "Nick!" I gasped as I let go of Derek & ran toward him. As I threw my arms around Nick, I exclaimed, "What a surprise! I didn't think I'd see you until I got home." I looked at his face & saw him glaring in Derek's direction. "Did you catch any of our dance?"

"Just the kiss." Nick said, tightlipped. "And why wasn't there music playing if that was your dance?" He asked & I was suddenly glad there hadn't been music or it would have ruined the surprise for him on Monday.

"Well, the kiss was part of our routine & it will all make sense when you see it on Monday. Derek wanted to do a run through without music, because he said if you can do it without music, then the chance of messing up with music is less likely." I smiled up at him. He looked down at me, not smiling, but giving me a slight nod with a sigh that sounded like he was annoyed. "You're not jealous are you?" I poked his stomach.

"Let's just say I don't love walking in on you kissing another man." He spoke in a serious tone & I frowned, then looked at Derek as he approached.

"You know what? You nailed that, so let's call it a night. Besides, you probably want to spend some time with your husband, so I'll see you tomorrow, okay?" Derek said, touching my arm.

"Sounds great." I grinned at him. "Thanks, Derek. You are an amazing teacher."

Derek winked at me, then looked at Nick, who was glaring at him. "Good seeing you, Nick. Have a good night you, two." Derek said to Nick before he left the room.

"Did he have to kiss you so passionately?" Nick asked after he sighed.

"Stop. You will see why on Monday, so forget about it." I reached up to touch his face, then bit my lip when he looked at me. "I missed you." I said in a soft voice, with a slight tilt of my head.

Nick couldn't help but to smile, then let out a short breathy chuckle. "I missed you, too."

"Know what we should do?" I gave Nick a coy smirk & he shrugged, looking like he had no clue what I was talking about. "We should dance. We haven't danced together in ages." Nick let out a nervous snicker & shook his head. "I'm serious. We have this whole room to ourselves. Let's dance, baby."

"Okay... fine...let's dance." Nick cocked an eyebrow as he grinned at me. "I know you'll win anyway, so why argue?"

"You go over & pick out a song, while I lock the door. I don't want us to have any interruptions." I turned & headed toward the door. After the door was locked, I walked back to the center of the studio & watched Nick as he looked through my phone for a song. "Is it that hard to pick out a song for us to dance to?" I asked, laughing.

"I'm looking for a specific song, Demetria." He glanced at me with his mouth turned up in a slight smirk & I laughed out loud. Finally, a few minutes later, Nick turned around, smiling. "Found it." He pressed 'pause' then walked toward me as the song started playing. It was 'In the Still of the Night,' the version by Boyz ll Men. Nick took my hand & as soon as Boyz ll Men started singing, "shudup, shubedo," repeatedly, Nick sang along, with them, melting my heart & making my knees feel weak. His left hand went to the small of my back as he pulled my body up against his. His gaze never left my eyes & I couldn't stop smiling. He moved us, like a professional dancer, gliding us around in small circles on the floor, the entire time, singing as if he were performing in front of an audience of ten thousand. "In the still of the night, I held you... held you tight." He put his mouth on the side of my head & sang into my ear, "Oh I love... love you so... promise I'll never... let you go... in the still of the night." He kept singing as he looked at my face & my heart skipped several beats. As Nick sang & turned us around, our bodies as close as they could get with clothes on, I fell in love with him all over again. I fought the urge to cry since the dance Derek had choreographed had been so dramatic & emotional for me, not to mention all the bullshit Nick had been through over the last several months. I swallowed hard & kept smiling as the song ended & Nick dipped me slowly. He kissed me, softly, then whispered, "Now....you can dance for me during this next song." He winked as he let go of me & took a few steps backward.
