As Melody and Harry made small talk in the coffee shop, it soon turned into real conversations. They found out what they had in common, made jokes because apparently their humor was very similar. The two had finally become friends.

Harry was in the midst of saying something, and Melody just admired him. He looked so happy and passionate about what he was talking about. She couldn't relate in the least but she could definitely watch him talk about it forever. And it was when his green eyes lit up while talking when she realised he had green eyes. She loved green eyes. He was using all these hand gestures that just seem to make his excitement even more noticeable. It almost seemed as though he was trying to talk fast, but couldn't because of his accent. He was just such a calm person it appeared as though it was impossible for him to talk fast.

All of this made Melody smile a little bit.

He must have noticed her admiring him because he came to an abrupt stop in the middle of his sentence. Gestures from his hands stopped as he let them relax.

"What?" He asked ever so innocently, making Melody want to cry.

"It's nothing, don't worry about it."

Harry just let out a little 'humph' in reply only because he wanted to know what she was thinking.

At that very moment, she was thinking about how it was surprising how someone with such a mature appearance could be so cutely boyish.

And at that moment Harry was thinking about how she looked so tired. She looked like she always wanted to sleep but never could. He wondered if it was insomnia. Possibly Narcolepsy, or even Night Terror.

"So, do you have any fears?" Harry asked out of nowhere.

Melody swore she could feel her heart, stomach, soul and everything else plummet to the ground. But she wouldn't dare show anything, so of course she tried her best to keep a straight face.

"What makes you ask all of the sudden?" She asked him back, with a smile to really cover up how terrified she got for a second.

"I don't know." He said looking down at the table, thinking up his reply. "Just kind of came to my head so I asked." Harry replied with a shrug.

That only soothed the thumping of Melody's heart slightly. She could just tell him. Tell him her undying fear that is always torturing her every second of the day. She could finally tell someone, someone who would understand and comfort her. It was the perfect time to tell and let it off her chest.

"Um, the ocean really freaks me out." She replied with a shrug.

So quickly her window of opportunity was closing, too quickly. Yes, she totally could have and probably should have told him, but she was unable to bring herself to do so. This was something about her she kept hidden for so long, no one had any suspicion for so long and she wasn't sure if she was ready to let go of that.

"I happen to love the ocean." And just like that. The window was closed and locked for what seemed like eternity. I will live. I have been living like this for years and years.

"Well then I don't think we can be friends, Harry." She said in a joking way. Harry laughed at that.

"Hey, we've bought coffee for each other. This friendship deal has been sealed, no turning back." He replied, with his dimples showing.

"Then I guess I'm just going to have to live." She said, leaning on the table with a smile. A smile that meant she was so happy to have finally become friends with Harry because when she was around him she didn't feel as pressured to be the perfect human being. Around Harry she could be Melody, the real Melody and she never wanted to let go of it.
