"Hi, Melody, your usual?" The barista at her coffee shop asked.

"No, not this time, I think I'll just have some green tea please." The Barista looked pretty shocked by the sudden change. Even Melody was slightly shocked she said that, she couldn't remember last time she went a day without buying coffee. But she knew she didn't need it.

It was all the same reason why she was saving so much money from not buying concealer. She didn't have bags heavier than her textbooks under her eyes. She wasn't constantly tired anymore, she was finally getting enough sleep. She finally didn't feel constantly stressed.

Melody felt happy. Real, genuine happiness.

That happiness only grew when she felt familiar arms wrap around her from behind as she was reaching for her tea. A smile grew on her lips as she turned around to see the curly haired boy behind her.

"Hi." She said with a goofy smile still plastered on her face. The best part, Harry had a smile to match hers perfectly.

"Hey." And Melody couldn't contain the happiness in her heart, she felt like it was going to implode. She held so much emotion for this boy and she didn't know who to fully express it, there was just so much. Looking at him was like looking at the brightest, happiest place on earth.

Not really caring about the fact that she hated P.D.A, she gave a him a loving kiss, hoping that it would get a least some of the crazy strong emotions she was feeling out. This was all new to her because she couldn't remember the last time she was this excited about everything, but who was she to ever complain, she was loving every second of it.

"Have you done all your homework assignments?" Harry asked, breaking the kiss. Melody didn't have anytime to awe over the fact that Harry is the only person to break a kiss to ask about school, she was too busy remembering that she in fact didn't finish them.

"Oh my god no I didn't!" She said before rushing to a table and pulling out numerous pieces of paper and quickly reading and writing answers down.

But Harry just smiled at her, because he thought everything she did was just so cute, the actions themselves probably weren't all that cute, no, but it was more about who was doing the actions.

It was just so adorable the way she went from an endearing smile to totally rushed. She just got so shocked and freaked out about her assignments. In fact the night before they were both doing their assignments but of course it made Melody bored and she wanted to do something else. Harry wouldn't budge though because he liked to have all his assignments done. Then Melody said she would remember to do them the next morning before class, and of course Harry had his doubts knowing Melody and without that much shock, he was right.

None the less everything she did was so adorable and precious and that just made everything harder.

It was now the afternoon and outside the window it was lightly snowing. As much as Melody wished she could just go outside and build up piles of snow and them kick them down, Harry told her they had to stay inside and study. Because, unfortunately mid-terms were coming up and that meant not a moment would pass where a college students face isn't buried deep into a textbook.

So instead of being outside together doing cute couple stuff and creating cute couple memories they were instead inside and Melody was bored out of her mind. Although she was more pretending to study while she was actually daydreaming about the wintertime snow, she was pretty confused why Harry wasn't studying, but doing less important homework assignments. It was Harry, he loved doing anything school related which yes, included both homework and studying. But in a time like right now, he should be studying rather than homework.

"Why aren't you studying?" His pen stopped moving as he looked up. But he didn't say anything. Just stared at her, but he couldn't hold the eye contact for very long before he turned away.

"Harry?" Melody was really confused and honestly, pretty freaked out. He didn't look like his super calm open self, he looked like he was holding something back.

He only sighed. That made Melody even more freaked out as she started to feel the tips of her fingers go cold from feeling nervous.

"You know how I'm like one of the best in my psychology class?" Melody only nodded, still pretty confused. "Okay, well so a few weeks back, my professor was talking to me after class and he mentioned this internship to me in Italy." Now all of Melody's hands were cold and so were her feet. She was almost positive she knew what was coming but she didn't want to face it, she didn't want to hear it.

"I applied for the internship." Melody closed her eyes for a few seconds trying her best to stay calm and not completely freak from this news. He only applied that doesn't mean he got it.

"And... they accepted me." Now all of Melody was cold. This went right were she didn't want it to go. And she turned her head to look out the window where the snow was falling a little bit harder now and she kind of envisioned herself as one of the snowflakes falling down to the earth. They were so light and feathery and cold and they couldn't do anything but crash into the earth. Melody wished she could compare herself to a snowflake but how could she when she felt like the earth was crashing into her.

"Melody, say something." He said scooting closer to her. Their legs were touching and he was really warm but it wasn't thawing how cold she felt like it usually would when she was cold. He was going to leave her.

"How long is it?"

"Three months."

And she swore her heart did numerous things from breaking in two to shattering from those two pieces into millions and it also didn't feel like it was breaking. It also felt like it was still beating just not working properly.

"Let's go for a walk."

They were walking side by side in silence with a good distance between them. Melody was really cold but it didn't really matter to her, if she was going to be feeling cold for the next three months might as well get used to it.

Many many thoughts were going through Melody's mind at the moment. But the most common was not to cry. She didn't want him to go with all her heart but she couldn't be the one that held him back. She was his girlfriend she had to support him through anything and she loved him. She loved him so so much.

So she couldn't cry, he couldn't know how much this was really breaking her on the inside. Although he knows her so well he probably already knew how he was feeling. God, he knows her so well and with every step she took she just seemed to ask the same question over and over again. Why? Why? Why? He was the best thing that's ever happened to her and he's leaving.

That was when the first tear fell. After that it was all over, more continued stream continuously down her face. And of course Harry noticed really quickly and pulled her into his warm arms when she could just bury her face in his chest and just cry while he tried to calm her down. But that was impossible in this situation.
