It was Christmas eve and all the team where together in the living room, drinking laughing and playing games. You and Loki were sat together, he had his arm around you and you were happily sat against him. Life had been so good recently, it was moments filled of laughter and love that healed you.

Bucky: 'Sam you're cheating there is no way you knew that!!'

Sam:" i am allowed to be smart!! just because i wasn't around in the war like you, doesn't mean i have no knowledge of it!"

Tony chuckles:' okay okay, next question, what does DNA stand for?'

Bruce pressed the buzzer: 'Deoxyribonucleic acid, obviously'

Ellie:' if you're so smart, answer a question in the sport category!' she teased

Bruce up for a challenge:' alright then, tony hit me'

Tony raised an eyebrow and looked at the card: 'you have no chance' he chuckled

Tony:'alright tough guy, in football, how many points does a touchdown hold?'

Bruce's face fell: 'shit'

Steve pressed his buzzer:'i'll steal that off him, 6 points'

Bruce put his hands up in defeat:" alright alright, but when its a science one don't come begging me for help' he chuckled 

Clint;' anyone in need of  refill? Ellie? loki?'

Ellie looked at her empty glass:' yes please barton'

Loki:' i am alright, thank you though' he with his beer in one hand and the other around Ellie

Clint came back with a snazzy new cocktail: ' i call this, a Christmas mess'

Ellie took a sip and started to cough:' fucking hell clint, what did you put in this?'

Clint:' everything...hence the name Christmas mess' he smirked 

Ellie chuckled and looked at loki:" try some of that'

He took a sip but pulled no expression:" well, i am used to strong asguardian booze, so this is nothing dearest' he said smirking and passing it back.

Ellie:' oh sorry hard, forgot that nothing effects you' she teased

Loki:' mmm not quite' he said smirking at you and leaning his head on yours

A few hours pass and the drinking doesn't slow, the laughter continues but then the singing starts, Stark had a big karaoke machine with microphones

Ellie:' oh god' she face palms at watching steve and bucky drunkly sing an old war song like they used to back in the good old days.

Sam:' did it sound just as bad all those years ago?' bucky flipped him off while continuing singing.

Thor was impressed and looked at Loki:' should we show them our asguardian talents brother?"

Loki did not want to and his face said no

Ellie:' oh come on, show me that you're not just a pretty face' she said challenging him

He looked at her and scoffed:' alright my dear, just for you' he whispered in your ear, before planting a kiss on your cheek and carefully standing up and joining Thor.

Ellie watched eagerly finishing her cocktail, feeling the effects of booze catching up to her.

Thor stood proudly next to Loki as they sang an old Asguardian folk song. The team clapped along as they got more into it. Ellie watched with a big grin on her face seeing her boyfriend do a great job. Part of the lyrics mentioned dancing with someone, loki quickly pulled Ellie up from the sofa and danced with her as he sang on.
