"Good morning, John Adams High!" Mr. Feeny's voice came over the speakers. "After a ten year absence, we've dusted off the console and put patriot radio back on the air."

The sound of pigs squealing followed his words. I looked at Eddie confused, and he just shrugged his shoulders. Then, the sound of fanfare came over the speakers.

"And with me here, my engineer and wacky sidekick on the morning zoo, Mr. Alvin Meese." Mr. Feeny said.

"Still don't like him?" Eddie questioned as I rolled my eyes.

"I never will. He got me fired! I was so close to becoming vice president." I replied.

"Thank you, Mr. Feeny. You're a great friend to radio." Meese said. "That's enough, Alvin. Nobody likes a mic-hog." Eddie and I let out a slight snicker.

"And now, because the halls of our school beat with the lively heart of contemporary youth, here us the happening sounds of Mr. Micheal Bolton." Terrible music followed, Mr. Feeny's words. We all groaned in annoyance.

"Make it stop! Make it stop!" Cory exclaimed, covering his ears.

"It's hard to cut the wires with a plastic spoon!" Shawn replied, yelling over the music. "Just rip the whole speaker down." I said.

"Hey, guys, try this knife." Mr. Turner said, handing Shawn a plastic knife. "Thanks." Shawn replied before him, and Cory gasped and pointed at Mr. Turner.

"Down." He told Shawn. "Come on, guys. The station's only been on five minutes. Is it really that bad?" He asked.

"And now, for a little chance of pace. A blast from my past. This is... Mr. Perry Como." Mr. Feeny said.

"For the love of my hearing, please let them cut the wire." Eddie told Mr. Turner. "I'm considering it." He replied. "But, if you don't like what you hear on the air. Get on the air and do better."

"Us? On the radio?" Shawn questioned. "Yeah, see if you can squeeze it in between doing nothing at school and nothing at home." Mr. Turner told him as he sat down at a lunch table.

"What are you saying? We don't do anything?" I asked. "No, not two," He pointed at me and Eddie. "These two."

"You know, we should think about that." Cory said. "I don't wanna." Shawn replied. "No, Shawn, maybe he's got a point. I mean, maybe if we became radio personalities, then we'd have... personalities." "I don't wanna do nothing."

"How are you friends with these guys?" Eddie asked. "Dad said no to the zoo, I forged his signature on the permission slip, and the rest is history." I answered.

"Look, radio is just sitting around talking." Cory said. "Like we are now?" Shawn asked. "Yeah, maybe you'll have to push a button." "How hard?" Shawn asked. "Like this." Cory mimicked pressing a button.

Shawn copied him. They went back and forth copying each other. "Are you kidding me?" Mr. Turner said. "How do you teach them?" Eddie asked. "I don't. I'd just hate to see them fail." Mr. Turner replied, sarcastically.

"Okay, we'll do it." Cory said. "We're naturals." Shawn said. "I've got a radio voice." Cory made his voice slightly deeper.

"And I've got a radio face." Shawn said. "He's lucky it's a cute one." I mumbled. Eddie smacked my arm lightly. "I heard that." He said.

"So when can you get us on the air?" Shawn asked. "If you guys are serious about this, I'll talk to Feeny after lunch." Mr. Turner said.

"And now for you kiddos, Menudo!" Mr. Feeny over the speaker. I honestly wasn't mad at this song choice. I love Menudo. "I'll talk to him now." Mr. Turner said, getting up from his chair.
