"¡Buenas, buenas, hermanita! It's the first day of your freshman year and the first day of my senior year!" Good morning, little sister! Eddie said, turning on the light.
I groaned and rolled onto my stomach, shoving my face into the pillow. "Oh, come on. I thought you'd be excited." Eddie said, walking into my room and sitting at the end of my bed. I sat up and rubbed my eyes.
"I am. It's just too early for this." I said. Eddie chuckled. "Get up, get dressed, brush your teeth, put on your makeup, eat breakfast, and let's go." He said.
"Where's dad?" I asked. "Making breakfast." Eddie answered. "Unsupervised?" "Yeah, probably not the best idea." Eddie got off my bed. "Come on, Adriana-Camila. Get out of bed." "I don't want to." Eddie took my covers off and picked me up.
"Hey! Put me down!" I said as he threw me over his shoulder. "Eddie!" I smacked his back as he walked over to my closet. "Hm. Let's see. This dress looks nice." He said, pulling it out of my closet.
"I don't wanna wear a dress." "With this jean jacket and your brown cowboy boots. You're all set for the first day of school." "I'm not wearing that." "Yes, you are." "No." "Yes." "No." "Yes."
"What's going on in here?" Dad asked, walking into my room. "Eddie's treating me like a Barbie." I answered. Dad chuckled. "Eduardo, put your sister down." "Fine." Eddie put my down and messed up my hair.
"Go get dressed." Dad told him. Eddie listened and went to his room. "So, are you excited?" "Yeah, and since no one really knows me, I have to make a good first impression." Dad smiled and nodded. "That's right." He said, heading towards the door.
"Oh, I have one rule for the first day." "What?" I questioned. "No crushes." "Papi, it's the first day of school. I doubt I'll have one." "You're not allowed to have one at all. I'll have your brother make sure of that." My jaw dropped as he walked out and closed the door. I scoffed and turned to my closet.
I put the dress back into my closet and pulled out my Selena Quintanilla shirt I bought over the summer. I opened the plastic drawers below and grabbed a pair of jeans.

I found Topanga in the hall, and we headed to find Shawn and Cory. She tapped Cory's shoulder, and I tapped Shawn's. They both jumped and yelled slightly.
"Hi." Topanga said.
"Topanga!" Cory exclaimed.
"Adriana!" Shawn exclaimed. He hugged me, and Cory hugged Topanga. "What's with you two?" I asked. "We just missed you. That's all. Walk in front of us." Cory said.
Topanga and I did as we both questioned what was going on. We looked at each other before turning around. "What are you staring at?" I asked. "Um... nothing." Shawn said.
"New shirt?" He asked. "Yeah, I got it over the summer." I answered. "Summer was very good to you." "Well, at least what I grew was real." I ripped off Shawn's fake sideburns. "Ow." He said.
I felt someone grab my shoulders. I turned around. "Hey, Adriana-Camila." "Hi, Eddie." "Shawn, Cory, girl, I've never met." He greeted. "I'm Topanga." "Oh, well, nice to finally meet you. I'm Adriana-Camila's older brother." "It's nice to meet you."
"Why are you talking to Adriana-Camila? Don't you want to keep your social status?" Cory asked. Eddie looked lost.
"The great one made me sign a contract stating I couldn't talk to him." Eddie looked even more lost. "Eric no want people to know me his brother." Cory said.
Eddie just nodded, confused. "Anyways," He looked back at me. "I came over to remind you of Dad's rule." "Yes, I know. I know." I said.
Just as I spoke, a cute guy passed by catching my attention. My eyes followed him. "Woah." I said.
