Chapter Five
"You know this is not how we were. You got too busy with work you forgot I exist. I do want to believe its work that took you not some girl."
Jemima sat on the sofa in Ayo's living room finally having a conversation, he had become persistent for them to see but she was still angry and since he didn't want to see he had made a mistake and preferred how relaxed she was asking, she spoke. She as always believed romance can never die in a relationship as long both parties are willing and it dies only if they let it and that was exactly what Ayo did which made her feel like she was doing too much.
"Baby, you know how my work gets?"
"Enough with the work excuse Ayo, you didn't call, didn't text, only responding like I'm forcing you... I have work too."
"Its not as demanding as mine..." she hissed
"I didn't mean to ignore you or make you feel this way. I'm sorry... I will change."
"You're always saying sorry and you never change. We've been together for almost year but its the same thing I'm complaining about and I'm tired."
"I'm sorry baby. I promise to treat you better.. I don't have an excuse, it has just been work but I will have your time. No excuses this time. I love you." He said kissing her hand
She smiled "You better change this time if not.."
"I will change, you know I'm not willing to lose you yet."
"Better keep to all these promises, I'm tired of waiting for you to change."
"Yes ma'am... am I forgiven?"
"Not fully, until my old Ayo is back, forgiveness is on halt."
He pulled her close "I want you to know how much I really like you, so I would put in the work."
"You would?" She asked hopeful
"If its for you, Yes!"
Jemima didn't think their conversation would end like that, some how she felt reassured and not angry, she had prepared for a hard conversation, back to back screaming but then Ayo hated the screaming parts of argument, he preferred the air their grievances in the soften tone, even if they spoke to understand each other she hadn't expected the outcome it came to. She wouldn't lie, she had missed him too much, she had missed hanging around his apartment just there, not doing anything, she also missed the guy she fell in love with.
"Thank you." She pecked him on the lips
"I should thank you for not leaving me... I'm really sorry, I love you." He hugged her
"I've missed you." She said as they hugged.
"I missed you more. You don't want to know how hard it has been." He pulled our from the hug, stared at her for awhile before bending his head to kiss her. That kiss spoke a lot, he missed her, she missed him and they were kissing their lost time. His hand right hand that was on her laps began to caress her legs before it made a move to her breast cupping them before squeezing them letting her release a quiet moan. His hands played with her nipples before it went back to her laps "Its not easy to keep my hands when you look this hot." he said before kissing her again while she giggled.
Kissing, hands moving up and down, she wanting to enter into him skin, he carried her to sit on his lap in one swift pace, not caring they were on his grey sofa, he pulled off her pink shirt she hand paired with her short jean skirt. Before she could stop what was happening, they were but half naked on the sofa trying to get enough of each other. This wasn't the plan when she was leaving her house but here she was, hungrily kissing Ayo like she wasn't still angry.
