We are getting to the end... *tears*
CHAPTER ELEVEN
Damola took Jemima to the haven again and Jemima didn't complain. She was about to get down from his car when he told his driver to start driving and she gave up, she didn't have any strength to protest, she couldn't get the thought of sitting on the beach her thoughts flowing with the waves of the water, out of her mind. His beach house became their spot, her spot especially, she has been to the house more than she has seen Ayo in the past three months. She switched off her phone after several calls from Ayo and threw it in her bag, Damola gave her his jacket so she could wear it as the cold was giving her goosebumps and the strap of her dress was nothing to help her prevent cold. She walked to the beach before she sat down on the sand watching the waves against the night sky, deep in thought as the water calmed her down she hadn't noticed Damola sitting next to her.
"Are you feeling better?" He asked. She knew he had so many questions, but they were questions she wasn't interested in giving answers. She had walked into the restaurant smiling and not up to an hour she was storming out of the restaurant.
"Yes thank you." She smiled as she was about to lay down flat on the sand, Damola quickly laid the blanket he was holding behind her. She chuckled and whispered, "Thank you." They were silent, she lay on the blanket watching the stars in the sky while the waves of the water hit, and he sat next text to her also watching the water, the birds chirping in the background and the bright full moon made her evening. Jemima loved the peace of the night that she slept off only to wake up the next day on a comfortable bed. She opened her eyes wide as she tried to remember the night before, she looked beneath the duvet to see if she still had her dress from yesterday on, she felt relief when she saw she was still in the blue dress even though she had removed the jacket and her left boobs had slipped out the dress, her hands went to her face, she froze when she realized her make up was gone. She couldn't remember yesterday so she silently prayed she didn't do anything wrong. She searched for her bag on the bed, on the nightstand but didn't find it anywhere.
She stood up from the bed to look for Damola but he was already walking up the stairs, the suit he had on yesterday gone, now exchange in cream joggers and a black tank top, she stared at the arms she hadn't seen before, her eyes lingered on his body before she snapped to reality.
"Where's my bag?" She asked
"Good morning to you too." He dropped a stack of fresh clothes, a toothbrush, bathing, a small bag of body care and a towel.
"My bag... I need it." She said ignoring his kind gesture.
He nodded towards the dresser resting on the wall near the door to the bathroom. It was sitting on top of the dresser but she hadn't noticed it. "Thanks." She took her bag and took out her phone, she switched it on but it didn't come on. "Do you have a charger?" Damola walked towards her, before moving behind her to the bedside table, he opened the drawer and pulled out an iPhone charger. She took it from him to charge her phone.
"Have your bath, this is what I could get for you. Breakfast is almost ready." She chuckled because she wasn't expecting him to cook, it reminded her of one picnic they had on the beach a month ago when he had prepared rice which she knew he didn't cook.
"Sorry, I invaded your space." She was sorry, she didn't like the fact he was almost everywhere when she had issues with Ayo.
"It's alright, maybe we could have fun only if you are ready to go home now."
She smiled at the thought of spending the whole day in his beach house, she had missed coming here, the last time was the picnic, the thought of staying in and having fun with Damola also made her smile, he was great company and she needed a distraction from thinking about Ayo.
