Chapter 2

14 May, 2015 countdown day 33

Since yesterday there were no waves Dean and I had spent pretty much all day either down at the beach or playing video games. And since we didn't go with Gabriel or Sam yesterday we had a guilt trip and went with them today.

We were just going around town doing normal 'family' things. This was a chance though to use my Polaroid. We were currently on a deck looking down at the shallow blue ocean waters. I see a small fish swimming and I can't help but take a picture. I air it out and look at my work smiling. I take out a sharpie and put the date and time.

"Can I see?" I turn to see Dean standing right next to me. I hand him the picture and he looks at it for a long time.

"This is actually pretty cool" he hands me the picture back and I smile putting it in my small notebook so it won't get crinkled and shove it in my pocket.

"Do you guys want ice cream, its right here" we turn as Sam calls us. We see a small ice cream and we nod following them inside.

"Hey welcome to Bob's Ice Cream what can I get you guys?" There was a guy there with dirty blond hair and blue eyes with dark eye brows there. He was really cute.

"Strawberry"

"Vanilla"

"Cherry pie flavor" its my turn to order and he looks up at me and grins.

"I'm Shawn by the way?" He reaches over the counter holding his hand out. I shake it and smile.

"Castiel, can I get chocolate?" He nods.

"Sure thing, and ice creams on the house" he winks and I feel myself turn a shade of pink. He gives each of them their ice cream then hands me mine and I feel a slip of paper underneath.

"We should hang out sometime" he winks and I smile. We all walk outside and sit on a table. I glance at the paper and sure enough it had 7 digits and his name on it.

"Whats that Cas?" I look over at Gabriel and smile shoving the paper in my pocket.

"Nothing" he laughs. I set my Polaroid on the table and take a scoop of ice cream. My eyes widen. Its the best ever. I take another spoon full and I almost moan. I turn to look at the side with a smile on my face. As I raise the spoon full of ice cream so it to my neck I hear a click and I turn to see a smirking Dean holding my Polaroid.

"Dean!" I feel my cheeks burn. He laughs and wiggles around the picture. He looks at it and smiles.

"I couldn't resist, let me see the sharpie" blushing I hand him the sharpie from my pocket. He takes it and starts writing something handing me back the sharpie and picture. I look at the picture and my eyes widen in shock. Not because I looked bad, on the contrary I looked fine really. I always look bad in picture but I liked this one.

I was looking off to the side with a smile on my face and the sun in the background making a sparkle form in my eye and the spoon is half way up almost to my face. I notice a couple in the background holding hands and I smile. At the bottom it says the date time and it has Dean's signature on it saying Taken by Dean.

I smile taking my notebook out again and neatly putting it in it before putting it in my pocket along with the sharpie again. I look up at Dean and he smiles taking a scoop of his cherry pie flavored ice cream.

"Hey guys do you want to go to an aquarium?" I turn to Gabriel and as I'm about to nod Dean interrupts.

"Fuck yes!" I look at him. His eyes gleaming with excitement, instead of his signature smirk a genuine smile plays on his lips and the crinkles on the side of his eyes become more noticeable as he grins. Fuck not again Castiel.
