:Volt's POV:

"Observer, did you see Sparks by any chance?"

"Sparks?"

"My cat."

Observer looked up at me from his work, while I stared at the screen.

"Oh, what are you doing?"

Observer looked unimpressed.

"I think you were looking for your kitten, not prying into my stuff. I don't pry into your life, say, like I had to ask about Sparks. By the way, Jeff hid him in the top cabinet in the kitchen, the third one to the left."

"Oh, okay."

I left the office like area, but my mind is still on the computer screen.

It had stuff like,

Zalgos disease,

Blackening of eyes,

Black tendrils.

It looked interesting. I grabbed Sparks from the cabinet, which took a while because it was way high up, that shelf. I think it was made so Slender has to use a step stool, or something. Then I went to Observer again.

"What cha looking at?"

"Something."

"What's Zalgos disease?"

Observer looked up at me, then sighed, and looked back at the screen.

"Classified."

"Aww, let me see.."

Observer pointed at another computer nearby. He seemed rather peeved.

I sat down at the other computer and turned it on. Once it flicked on, I searched the computer for anything about diseases. I only found one file, and it had a password.

"Hey observer," I asked. "What is the password? Observer?"

I heard him curse under his breath, then he got up and walked to my computer.

"It's the name of an SCP. I change it once a week. This time, I think it's SCP, capitalized, mind you, -173. Got that? Now let me work in peace."

I typed in SCP-173, and the page started loading, eventually changing to the page Observer was on. Then I began to read. It appears to read like a sort of log, but without any dates. Just notes and fragments of research, as well as a few pictures. Some things, such as names, and some other things are censored, for what reason? I don't know, for they are two randomly placed for swears.

One of our own came, *******, back from a spree last night. But now I am concerned, because he is acting strange.
He is normally an outgoing, bubbly guy, but now he sits alone in silence, muttering words others can't hear nor understand. I worry for ******.

Slender has classified it as something in relation with Zalgo. ****** was sent immediately to the infirmary, where he is now resting.. He looks alright, almost. But at the edges of his eyes, where the eyelid almost covers, I notice a bit of black where it should be white.

This journal like part about this guy went on, until the poor guy had to be put to death. I clicked into another page, where it mentioned a bunch of symptoms.

Zalgos disease.
Most commonly caught on with over exposement to underrealm type items and beings, though also if cut or touched by weapons or items with this sort of poison made by Zalgo.
Not really contagious, until black, liquid tendrils are formed. The black liquid appears to be the poison.

Symptoms..
Begins with slight brain damage, victim starts muttering and avoiding others. Next would be a blackening of the eyes, which is a slow process taking a couple days and eventually blinding the victim, kind of. They will become more hostile, attacking fellow pastas with increased strength, talk more to themselves in a lower voice than their own, possibly sounding much like Zalgo himself, and will drip black liquid, which will flow towards healthy, noninfected pastas.
No known cure, farther than killing the victim, or amputation if affected by poison.

A creepy image of a normal person with these symptoms were shown, and I feel really bad for them.

To bad I can't talk to him, he's already long dead.

There were also a couple notes on the bottom.

On some rare occasions, an infected pasta would lose certain features and abilities as a symptom. Ex. Say if Jeff got infected he might begin to gain colour to his face and grow eyelids, or if Masky was infected he would go on an unpreventable 'Tim' mode.

Some people need special checks for infection, such as Eyeless Jack, who has no eyes, or Judge Angels, who's eyes are already black.

There was still more, but I stopped reading. It seemed pretty easy to get infected, but what was the purpose of this disease?

Observer happened to still be there.

"Observer?"

"Ugh, what?"

"What's the purpose of the disease?"

Observer once again looked up at me boredly, then went back to his work without answering. Okay, if he's not helping me, then I'm asking Masky, or maybe the Slenderman. He might know.

I began to leave, then Observer stopped me.

"You know, they won't tell you anything, they believe it's classified. I could tell you, if you want. I do know more than them, anyways."

Okay! Just some news...

For one, I decided to shorten the chapters. I look at them now, and realize thy are pretty long.

Also, more storyline, less filler.

I know it sucks, but I can't find the storyline anymore, or barely. I need to be able to keep track what's a filler and what is serious, so that they aren't all fillers.

That's it guys!
