~THIRTY-EIGHT~

Midoriya stared blankly as the doctor began to remove his casts. Omegas and Alphas tended to heal quickly so Midoriya's arms were no longer broken. They were just sore and heavy. He listened while the doctor spoke about the severity of his arms. 

"Despite the rapid healing that your Omega did, your arms are still in really bad shape Mr. Midoriya. I understand because of your teachers and your friends that you are pursuing a career in the police force. That alone already puts you at risk because of your secondary gender. But if you continue to use your arms in such a serious manner, you are at risk of losing the use of them all together." The doctor spoke with a scolding tone, clearing not agreeing with the Omega's career choice. She was an Alpha, and Midoriya could smell her faint pine scent through her scent patches. She finished wrapping some compressions around Midoriya's arms which would help maintain them while they finished healing. "Also, your teacher gave me a letter to give to you when you woke up. Let me know if you need anything else. You should be able to be discharged later today" She handed Midoriya the letter and left the room, shaking her head. 

Midoriya opened the letter once he was alone, smiling slightly at the messy handwriting.

Midoriya-San,
I'm really sorry that I punched you in the balls.
Thank you for saving me even though you barely know me.
Please get better soon so I can thank you in person.

The Omega hummed to himself, a bittersweet sound. He had saved Kota. But he still was reminded that he hadn't been able to save Bakugou.

It was dark outside when Midoriya was finally released from the hospital. He headed to the front steps where he found Kirishima and Todoroki. He was also surprised to see Shinsou sitting there as well. "Toshi?" The Omega questioned, noticing the bandages on the Alpha's arm. 

"You're my pack and he's your mate. So yeah. I'm going to save him" Shinsou rolled his eyes as he hugged Midoriya. "I'm glad you're not feral anymore. That shit was scary"

"I didn't scratch you did I?" Midoriya asked Shinsou, shocked. 

"You didn't scratch him, but you got me, and nearly got Uraraka" Todoroki stepped in, showing off the angry pink scars that had formed. He didn't see the reasoning for covering them since they were healing, albeit slowly. 

"I'm so sorry you guys. I didn't mean to" Midoriya's eyes welled up with tears as he stepped back from Shinsou. The group looked over as they heard heavy stomps and Iida appeared in front of them. 

"You all have lost your minds! This isn't safe and you don't have the clearance to do something like this!" He was fuming, his eyes dark with anger. Midoriya stepped closer anyway, his hands up. 

"I know it's not our place, but it's Kacchan we have to save him!" Midoriya whined. Iida reached out and punched Midoriya in the face, grabbing the Omega's shirt while shaking him. The other three Alphas stepped closer from behind Midoriya, prepared to attack Iida. 

"You guys aren't taking the rest of the class's feelings to heart! We are all worried and want Bakugou back. I can't stand back and just let you guys get hurt!" Iida growled, protectiveness in his voice. This stopped the other Alphas as Iida released Midoriya's shirt and the Omega patted Iida's arm.

"We won't fight the rogue Alphas. We just want to save Bakugou and get out." Todoroki spoke up, drawing Iida's attention. 

"Yeah man, it's going to be covert. We are all training to be in the police force. We plan to use our training to get in and out without engaging in combat" Kirishima sighed, revealing more of their plan.

"Iida-kun. I have to save Kacchan. I failed him at the camp. I can't fail him again. Please Iida-kun" 

"Fine! But I am accompanying you four to ensure there is no fighting the Alphas. I don't agree with an Omega coming along. But I know he's your mate" Iida huffed, crossing his arms.

Midoriya's eyes lit up as he hugged the Alpha before pulling away and calling his mom. She answered after the first ring.

"Izuku?!" She sounded frantic. U.A. must have told their parents about the incident.

"I'm okay! My arms were broken, but they are healed now. And I had a few cuts and scrapes but I'm okay. Just sad and angry that they took Kacchan." Midoriya spoke as his clenched his fists. "I got discharged, but I'll come home tomorrow. Me and my friends are sticking together after everything."

"Oh, Izuku honey. Do you really have to continue trying to be in the police force?"

"Mom, I wouldn't be satisfied if I couldn't help others. I'll be okay. I promise. I love you and I'll see you tomorrow. I just really want to be with my friends tonight" Midoriya said, his voice trembling slightly.

"Oh, Izuku. I love you baby. Be safe with your friends. I know this is hard for you. The police force will bring Katsuki back to you as soon as they can. I'll see you tomorrow baby" The call ended, and Midoriya stared at his phone for a moment before heading back to the group of Alphas. 

"Everything okay Iz?" Shinsou asked, noticing the distress pheromones that Midoriya was trying to control. 

"Yeah. I just hate keeping things from my mom. She's worried too. I'm pretty sure I heard Kacchan's mom in the background. I guess they're together because of Kacchan" Midoriya said, wrinkling his nose lightly at Shinsou's calming pheromones. 

"Let's go. We have a train to catch so we can make it to where the hideout is" Kirishima smiled to the others in the group, leading the way towards the train station. Todoroki followed beside the red-haired Alpha while Midoriya and Shinsou walked in the middle and Iida followed the group. Midoriya hoped they'd be able to save Bakugou after all of this, and he'd be with his Alpha. 

--Okay, so the plan is for two more chapters to be released and then this story will be finished! I'm thinking about starting a second book that won't follow the anime/manga anymore so that I can do basically whatever I want. I hope you've enjoyed reading so far.
