Omegaverse

First things first. We have to define Omegaverse and put all those disclaimers. I am attempting to write this story without smut, shocker coming from an Omegaverse story. But I am trying for the younger readers that I know view my stuff. If I had anything other than suggesting something is happening, I will add disclaimers at the beginning of the chapter. Enjoy what I have posted, and I will hopefully update this more as I write. But I can't promise it will be often that I post on this story. Akiara is still my main book on this page.

OMEGAVERSE

Alphas: The top of the sub-genders. They make up approximately a fourth of the population. They tend to be over-protective of anyone they deem to be pack and especially protective over their Omegas. They can be aggressive and will release various pheromones depending on their emotions. Occasionally they won't realize they are doing it in extreme emotion changes. They go through Ruts which are triggered by an Omega in heat if the pair has strong feelings or a familiarity with each other. They can impregnate any omega while they are in heat. An Alpha's rut occurs twice a year for two to four days beginning at age 10-11.

Betas: The middle tier of the sub-genders. They are more like basic humans and makeup approximately half of the population. They cannot release pheromones like Alphas and Omegas and can choose anyone to mate with, but only male/female couples can reproduce.

Omegas: The bottoms of the sub-genders. They are a submissive species and can be male or female. They make up approximately a fourth of the population. They can go into heat once every three months for a three to five-day period. This typically starts during puberty at 12-13 taking a year to regulate normally. While in heat, either gender can get pregnant by either gender as long as it's an Alpha. They can minimize their pheromones using scent blockers and suppressants, though it is dangerous to use long-term. They can also use birth control to prevent pregnancy if taken 24/7 like a normal birth control would be. They are extremely vulnerable during their heat, oftentimes not remembering anything that occurs during the flashes.
