~THIRTY-NINE~

Bakugou glared at the Alphas in front of him as he sat in a metal chair. His legs had been chained to the chair as well as restraints around his torso like he was buckled into a toddlers chair. His hands had been bound in a metal casing so he couldn't use his claws to get out. He was angry and humiliated by his treatment, growling whenever someone stepped closer to him. Kurogiri and Toga were standing behind the bar, while Shigaraki sat on the bar stools, scratching at his neck. Dabi stood to his left, arms crossed as he stood guard. Bakugou didn't really know the others names, but he also didn't care. The silence ticked down. Bakugou had been here for days now, and had remained chained to the chair when he wasn't restrained to the bed he would sleep on. Although, if the blond Alpha was being honest, he hadn't slept more than a couple hours in the days he'd been here. He was always on high alert, and he couldn't sleep with the ice that had settled into his body after he used his Alpha voice on Midoriya. 

"Take his restraints off" Shigaraki's voice broke through Bakugou's self-torment and the blond realized that Shigaraki was talking to Dabi. 

"I really don't think we should. The kid seems pretty feral when he fights. What if he attacks us?" Dabi voiced out loud, not missing the laugh that Shigaraki had for an answer. 

"Look, we want the kid to join us, yes? We need to start treating him like one of us. All these restraints are just going to give him the wrong idea" Shigaraki said with a wave of his hand. He'd been unusually giddy while Bakugou was there, like he'd actually won or something. "Besides, the kid knows he'd outnumbered here and won't win if he tried to fight" His tone turned slightly sinister, like he was daring Bakugou to try anyway. 

"Fine. Twice you do it" Dabi huffed, gesturing to the guy in a grey and black mask who started arguing with himself as he moved to remove Bakugou's restraints. The chains slunk to the ground, and the metal casing on his hands crashed to the ground as Bakugou finally was able to stand properly and stretch, cracking his wrists. His body still screamed at the coldness that was heavy in his heart and lungs. 

"I wanted to apologize for using my pheromones on you Katsuki," Mr. Compress, the Alpha who had actually kidnapped him, spoke. "We aren't just a group of Alphas who commits crimes for the fun of it. We have purpose, a calling. Bringing you here was just a part of that purpose"

Shigaraki then began to approach Bakougou, his huge grin taking up most of his face as he gestured around them. "We want you to join us kid. Be a member of the League of Villains. The Rogue Alphas" Bakugou wasted no time in lunging at Shigaraki, his claws barely missing the man's face as Kurogiri yanked Shigaraki backwards. 

"I will never join you. You cannot sway me. I have been inspired by All Might, and plan to surpass him and become Japan's best police force member. I have a pack that I would never abandon" Bakugou growled, his eyes glowing through his anger as they continued their stand off.

Midoriya and the four Alphas had arrived in the town where the hideout was located, deciding they needed to disguise themselves before approaching the hideout since the Rogue Alphas knew what they looked like. They each were already wearing thick scent patches to avoid being caught. Shinsou convinced the group not to go overboard, so they were just wearing dark clothes and hats or hoodies to cover their hair. As they were walking that direction, they noticed a crowd gathering as their teachers and principal sat at a press conference. The questions were all about how they failed their student, both how they had treated him, and now that Rogue Alphas. Aizawa stood sharply and bowed at one point. 

"We must deeply apologize. We know UA failed our students by letting one of them be kidnapped. This is our responsibility. We are working hard to help the police force where we can to ensure our student's safely." Principal Nezu was sitting next to him, nodding before answering more questions.

"People are really angry with UA right now, aren't they?" Kirishima asked, his shoulders deflated some. 

"I'm sure Kacchan is watching the broadcast. He'll know they are coming for him. We just need to get their first. Come on. Lead the way Kiri" Midoriya smiled, trying to cheer up the red-headed Alpha. Their group continued quietly to the place where the hideout was located, though the building looked abandoned. There wasn't any movement to indicate that anyone was there. They hid in the shadows, watching. 

However, on the other side of the city, at an abandoned apartment building sat, the building starting to fall apart from old age. The air around the building was thick with the scent of caramel, charcoal, blood, petrol, and faulty electricity. This is where Bakugou was being held, the scents coming from the dominance oozing from the Alphas as they fought inside. Bakugou wanted to take as many of them out as possible, but he was still horribly outmatched as the Rogue Alphas played with him. 

The police force was two buildings away, setting up their base as they prepared to infiltrate the hideout. Their main priority was rescuing Bakugou, but they also wanted to be able to arrest as many of the members of the Rogue Alphas as possible. All Might was with the police force, wanting to be there to rescue Bakugou himself. He felt a strong kinship with Midoriya, and felt obligated to help save his mate. 

Everything happened quickly. Midoriya and the Alphas were hiding behind the abandoned warehouse, watching diligently in case anything happened. At the apartment building, Bakugou had been in All Might's hands after the police force broke into the hideout and restrained the members of the Rogue Alphas. And then Compress released his pheromones, the scent drowning out everyone in the apartment's senses. He was able to free his League companions before Dabi drug Bakugou up to the roof where Kurogiri's helicopter was. Shigaraki, Kurogiri, and Bakugou loaded into the helicopter, taking off before the police force could recover from Compress' pheromones. The rest of the Rogue Alphas remained at the apartment to fight off the police force. Unfortunately for the Alphas, All Might didn't react to pheromones in the same way as everyone else, and he was two steps behind them. He held onto the helicopter as it left the apartment, heading towards the warehouse where Midoriya was. He dangled from the bottom, hidden from the Alpha's gaze. 

-- Home stretch! One more chapter and then this story is finished! It's kind of bittersweet actually. I've been writing this for over 4 years at this point. I started it January of 2020 after all. The last chapter will be long, since there is still so much I need to put into it. I apologize that this chapter was a little all over the place. But I also like the sense of urgency and chaos that the writing brings to the situation. The final chapter will be posted next week at the same time! Hope to see you all there --
