Midoriya had a million thoughts running through his head as he stepped onto Bakugou's street. Refreshing his email a million times seemed like the best course of action for the moment, trying to get a head start on All Might's research. Fated mates was one thing, but soulmates was something that hardly had any research. No one knew why they were a thing, and soulmates ran deeper than people thought. The Omega figured that he could find concrete evidence to back up his claims and use them to convince Bakugou that he wasn't crazy. But he knew the Alpha was probably going to react negatively to the news.

The neighborhood was quiet today as Midoriya crossed the street to get to the Bakugou residence. He could see Mitsuki's car in the driveway so he'd need to be quiet when he told Bakugou what he knew. He could smell comforting scents as he approached the house, seeing ash blond hair in the kitchen through the window as he pushed open the front door.

"Is that you brat!" Mitsuki yelled from the other room, a chair scraping the floor as she moved to come into the front room.

"It's just me, Auntie. I guess I beat Kacchan here" Midoriya called out, rounding the corner to meet her in the dining room.

"Oh, is everything okay? He didn't tell me he wasn't coming right home after school and he didn't answer his phone when I texted him." Mitsuki frowned, a softer expression on her face.

"Yes ma'am. I had a meeting after school, and Kacchan went to the arcade with Kirishima and Todoroki. We were meeting back here." Midoriya nodded, though he glanced at his own phone, noting that he didn't have a response from Bakugou either. "I'll give him a call here soon though. I know I beat him here. I'm just going to go sit up in his room." Midoriya smiled at the woman, waving shyly as he headed up the stairs, pushing open Bakugou's door and dropping his bag by the bed as he laid down. The fact that Bakugou hadn't even texted his mother back, let alone not texting his Omega back, made Midoriya think something was wrong. He tried not to let his anxiety get the best of him though as he closed his eyes, resting his phone on his chest, double checking that the ringer was on. He knew Bakugou would call if something was wrong, or at least text him. His phone probably just died and he was on his way home.

"One more game, Bakubro! And then we'll walk you home" Kirishima begged the blond Alpha, bouncing up and down like he was a child.

"You've said that four times now, Shitty Hair. I guess that's fine since I'm waiting on a text from the damn nerd" Bakugou rolled his eyes, feeding another quarter into the machine to play Kirishima on Just Dance one more time. He'd already beaten Kirishima six times and Todoroki three times on the one game.

"Hey, do either of you have cell service at the moment? My phone is acting up" Todoroki leaned against the machine to look at the other two, an almost concerned look on his face.

"Why wouldn't we? We're in downtown. We always have cell service here" Kirishima frowned, but pulled his phone out anyway as the match was setting up. The bars in the top left of the screen were teetering between one and zero. "Huh. Mine is doing it too" Bakugou pulled his phone out of his pocket, growling at the no service symbol in the top corner of his phone.

"What the hell?" He grumbled under his breath, glancing around the room. Multiple people were starting to look at their phones with confused looks. "I think someone is messing with it. Everyone's phones are out of service. We need to leave" Bakugou moved to leave the game, being grabbed by Kirishima.

"We already put in the quarters. We have to play. We will leave afterwards. I swear. I gotta call my mom's anyway" He pouted at the blond until he stepped back on the board, hitting the button to say he was ready to start the match.
