The first thing I noticed when I woke up was the scent—the scent that had grown so familiar, so comforting. It was a mix of his cologne, fresh and crisp, with a faint hint of sandalwood. It made me feel...home. I sighed, my hand instinctively tapping the other side of the bed, but my fingers found only cool sheets.

Opening my eyes, I realized Arjun was already gone. Probably at the gym, as usual. For the past month, this had been my morning routine. Waking up in his room—our room now, I suppose—and finding his absence lingering like a phantom.

A smile tugged at my lips as I stretched lazily, remembering how it all started.

It began with the smallest of reasons.
"You'll feel safer here," he had said one night, standing by the door of my room, his tone casual but his eyes firm. "I don't trust the security system in this part of the house."

I had rolled my eyes but relented. After all, who was I to argue with Arjun Singh Rajvansh when he was in one of his overprotective moods which I love the most?

But it didn't stop there.
There was the time he'd outright declared, "You toss and turn too much you might fall of bed. It's better if you sleep here so I can keep an eye on you."

That one had left me speechless.

Each time, he had a new reason, and each time, I had gone along with it, pretending I didn't notice his growing attachment. But the final blow came when I returned to my room one evening to find all my belongings—my clothes, my books, even my favorite mug—already moved into his.

I'd stormed into his room, where he was casually typing away on his laptop. "What is this?"

He'd looked up with that infuriatingly calm expression. "It'll be easier for you this way. No need to go back and forth for anything."

I'd stared at him, my hands on my hips, ready to argue. But then he'd smirked, and I'd realized he knew exactly what he was doing.

His actions were cute, in a way I'd never admit to his face. He could've just asked me outright to shift into his room, but no—he had to be Arjun about it, all subtle and calculated. I decided to play along, matching his pace, letting him think he was in control.

But inside? Inside, I was loving every second of it.

I shook off the memory, my smile widening as I got out of bed and headed to the closet. It was still strange, seeing my things neatly organized alongside his. Strange, but nice.

After getting dressed, I made my way to the lawn, where Riya was already waiting for me at the breakfast table. The sun was warm, the garden bursting with flowers, and a soft breeze carried the smell of fresh grass.

"Good morning," Riya greeted, her cheerful tone lifting my mood further.

"Morning," I replied, settling into my chair and reaching for a slice of toast.
