The first rays of the morning sun filtered through the curtains, casting a golden hue over the room. A soft breeze rustled the sheer drapes, but the warmth in my heart had nothing to do with the weather-it was my little girl's birthday today.

I went to Ira's room, smiling as I watched Ira snuggled deep into the covers, her tiny fists clutching the blanket. Her long lashes rested against her soft cheeks, her lips slightly parted as she breathed evenly. My heart swelled.

Leaning in, I gently brushed a strand of hair from her face and whispered, "Ira, baby, wake up." I placed a soft kiss on her forehead, but she simply scrunched up her nose and buried her face deeper into the pillow.

"Five more minutes, Mumma," she mumbled sleepily in her baby voice, making my heart melt.

I chuckled, my fingers softly running through her hair. "But doesn't my cute little baby want to see her surprise?" I whispered teasingly in her ear.

Ira stirred at that, her tiny brows furrowing as she peeked one eye open. "Suprise?" she mumbled, still half-asleep.

Before I could reply, the room suddenly filled with joyful voices-

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY, IRA!"

The entire family stood at the foot of her bed-Ma and Dad, Riya, Ayaansh, chachu and chachi ,Khadoos, all smiling at her. The room was decorated with pastel-colored balloons, and a big banner that read Happy Birthday, Ira was hanging above the bed.

Ira's sleepy eyes widened in shock before a bright smile stretched across her face. She quickly sat up, rubbing her eyes as if making sure she wasn't dreaming.

"Yayyy! It's my birthday!" she squealed, bouncing on the bed.

Ma stepped forward first, gently cupping Ira's face and kissing her forehead. "Meri chhoti si pari, janmdin mubarak ho," she said warmly, pulling her into a soft embrace.

"Dadi!" Ira giggled, wrapping her tiny arms around Ma's neck.

Dad ruffled her hair, his eyes twinkling with pride. "Ab toh meri badi beti ho gayi," he teased, making her giggle even more.

Then came Riya, who sat beside her on the bed, pinching her chubby cheeks. "My little cupcake is growing up too fast!" she pouted dramatically.

Ira laughed. "But I will always be your cupcake, Riya bua!"

Ayaansh scoffed from behind, crossing his arms. "And what about me, birthday girl?" he asked with mock jealousy.

Ira giggled and stretched her arms out to him. "You are my Ayaansh chachu the best in this wholeee worlllddd..!"

Shaking his head with a smirk, he scooped her into a bear hug, lifting her up and spinning her around. "And you are my little troublemaker!" he chuckled, making her squeal in laughter.
