Summary:
As Christmas rolls around, the students have gotten permission to head home for the holidays. However, as a snow storm suddenly arises just in the midst of the last students' exits, it quickly becomes apparent that they won't be going home any time soon. And while the news are disheartening, what better way is there to celebrate Christmas, than with your friends?

Another call came from the door, before it could be heard closing- the cold air from outside pulling it shut, before the leaving student even has the time to do it themselves.
He distantly wonders how cold it must be by now, as his gaze momentarily leaves his book to look up. "Was that Iida?"
"Yeah. I think it's only us and a few others left now" Sero spoke from the other couch, as he flipped another page in his manga. "What time are you going home again?"
They've been sitting in the common area for about an hour now- listening as their classmates returns home for the holidays, while reading their individual books. "I think I'll stay here until the last person leaves" The longer he can hold out, the better... "When are you leaving?"
His gaze still hadn't returned to his own pages, but the words just seemed a bit too blurry now. He had been pretty tired lately... maybe this break wasn't so bad after all... "I plan on heading out in about an hour. How come you're waiting here though? I thought your sister called"
Fuyumi had called him earlier that day... but just hearing the bickering between Natsuo and their father had been enough for him to pull the phone away from his ear..
"I'll pick you up! How about... 4 pm? Or earlier? Just set the time and I'll be there!"
She had sounded way too eager over the phone.. another reason why he didn't want to entertain her fantasies any longer...
"I'll just go home whenever. Besides, I'd like to say goodbye to my classmates first"
His excuse seemed to have hit the mark, as his sister simply laughed before changing the topic.
"She did. But I told her I'd stay here a while longer, and it's not like I'm in a hurry to go home anyway" It's not like there's anything waiting for him... it's not like Christmas has ever meant anything before...
His gaze wandered to the window, as a particularly strong gust of wind made the glass shake- small snowflakes hitting the glass like stones. "Was it supposed to storm today?"
The sky hadn't seemed particularly dark before, but now it seemed like a darker color had taken up the sky. Did it look like that when they started reading? "No, I don't think so atleast" His question had made Sero put down his manga as well, as he turned towards the window. "It does seem to be the case though... I wonder how bad it'll be.."
The wind seemed strong by the way it shook the branches of a few stray trees- leaves flying and trees swaying as what had just been a few snowflakes, began turning into something akin to rainfall.
"Atleast I hope the others got home before it turned this bad" Sero's head was still turned towards the window, so he couldn't see his expression, but his voice displayed something he hadn't expected- genuine worry.
It's not like he didn't think Sero would worry about their classmates, but he thought that he'd atleast feel a bit agitated about the fact that he probably won't be able to go home in this weather...
