Chapter 11 - an embarrassing begin

Hi guys!! Sorry I haven't been very active lately, I just had absolutely no motivation. So sorry 'bout that! But I'm back now, and I'll try to get some more chapters in :]

Y/n looked a bit distrustful before giving in and telling him her name. "Hello, my name is Y/n, and I'm doing well thank you. I'm also the new engineer and mechanic", she responded. At those last words, Sam was intrigued, so he asked further. "So what are you doing over there little imp?" "I'm researching and creating an antidote for possible illnesses that may come. I'm also trying to make a very effective poison."

POV: 1st person (Y/n)

Sam looked at me shocked, but honestly, can't blame him, he doesn't know anything about me. I decided to ignore his shocked look and proceeded on working. I got a book about plants and their purpose and looked through it for a bit before ultimately deciding to put Echinacea to the test. In the book, there's written that Echinacea (purpurea) is used in traditional medicine. Although commonly sold as a dietary supplement, there is insufficient scientific evidence that Echinacea products are effective or safe for improving health or treating any disease.

Seeing that last sentence, I was determined to find out, so I went to work. I asked Hana how they traditionally made medicine from the plant and what diseases it could potentially cure. She said that you have to combine your echinacea root, flowers, and leaves with the spirits in a pint-sized jar. Then, place the jar in a cool, dark place and let it infuse for 4-6 weeks. Once ready, you have to strain the herbs out using a fine-mesh sieve or cheesecloth. And lastly to store tincture in a small bottle with a dropper for easy use and that it was used for respiratory tract infections, tooth pain, and snakebite.

While I did the first step, I noticed that Sam had taken a seat at the other side of the workbench en stared in amazement at Hana. He snapped out of it as he heard me chuckle. "That's very cool!" he exclaimed before continuing, "What is it exactly? And where did it come from? How was it made?" I smiled at him. "That is Hana, she's an AI that I made with my very own two hands and she has been here this whole time." "It is nice to make your acquaintance sir Sam" The said man was so amazed, he practically had stars in his eyes.

After a few hours of working and chatting with Sam, who didn't leave the whole time, just sitting there looking at what I was doing and asking questions here and there. I noticed that it was lunchtime, so I chose to pause my research and go grab a bite. I told Sam what I would be doing and he rushed to his shop after saying (read; yelled) goodbye. I lightly laughed at his antics before making my way to the cafeteria.

I got lost... I don't know what way to go and some students are looking at me weird. I know you might be thinking, 'why don't you just ask Hana for help?' Well the answer is that Hana is a bit sick of constantly having to guide me through buildings and just left me stranded.

As I was still mentally panicking, I heard light footsteps heading my way and stopping behind me. I turned around and there stood a male; he had dark red hair with an ahoge shaped as a heart. He also had light grey eyes and a crown sitting comfortable on the left side of his head. The boy had a white uniform neatly buttoned up with on his vest a red and black heart revealing a white undershirt. He also had a red and black collar/ribbon around the collar of his undershirt. He wore a pair of black gloves and had a black and red cape hung across his left shoulder with a white rose that had the top part of it painted red pinned on the cape. He had a strip of fabric across his chest with the outlining in a gold colour while the middle part was checkered. Around his waist laid, what it looks like, a caution tape with a badge holding it together with an 'H' printed on it. On the left of his chest, hung a key and a hearts logo with the name 'Heartslabyul' on it.
