Ever since I stopped having my tests with Alexander, life has been normal and to be honest, dull. I've been taking classes to get certified to work at Obsidian Corps. I'm going to be an administrator, that means I'll watch over the operators creating products, and coming up with new ideas. My classes are just about leadership, and the history of the company, pretty boring. Emma is going to college, but it's not far away so we don't go long distance. She's going into animal science to become a veterinarian.

The device that Alexander and I made was a success! Now people as young as 5 can see if they have powers, and what color they were assigned. This is helping start the education on their powers start earlier, so when they're my age they will be able to understand their powers fully. So far though, no other purples.

Every now and then I'll get an email from Alexander to see him in his office. It's either just him checking in on me, or discussing upcoming projects once I become an admin. Lately though, he's been bringing up an anomaly in our device. Nothing bad, just that whenever someone uses it they get a small scar. There isn't ever a wound from which the scar would come from, but it's just there. I even tried it, but it didn't happen to me. He's been collecting data on the anomaly, and there is no pain, bleeding, or frankly any negative effects. So we have continued to approve of their use, just use with that in mind.

I looked at my phone and my class started in 10 minutes, time to head over there. It's a 2 minute drive, so I get there with plenty of time. This is my 'history' class, boring. My instructor just goes over the minute details of Obsidian Corps, and now that there is more than one purple, that means there will probably be more innovations to come sooner than expected.

After class I head home, I don't have any homework ever so I'm probably just going to sit in my bed and scroll on my phone. Sometimes Emma comes over, but she's been busy with college stuff. I don't blame her, she's doing a lot, and she's doing it well. I just miss her. I pull into my driveway and just sit for a minute. The flashbacks of the tests streak across my vision. The pain, the repetitiveness, the agony, I'm so glad it's over.

I walk inside, I'm home alone. Walking up the stairs to find that there's a spider threatening my life on the wall. Seeing it made me fall down the stairs and hit my head. I'm okay though, just this spider is trying to kill me. "I'm just gonna get a shoe, and get you." I glare at the spider, and kinda feel bad for it. So I get a cup and paper, and release it outside. I'm such a good person, I laugh to myself. Now walking up the stairs with the full intention of actually making it to my room, I look around cautiously for spiders. The coast is clear, mission accomplished, Stephanie's bedroom has been infiltrated. By me of course, but anyways, I didn't fall so I'm happy.

Something about those flashbacks were strange. They won't go away. I should message Alexander about it, but I don't. Because to be honest, he's actually terrifying. It won't leave my head, I feel like I'm having a panic attack. Then my vision goes dark. I wake up to my Mom shaking me, and my Dad on the phone with someone.

"What happened?" I felt like I couldn't speak so I had to force those words out of my mouth. "Stephanie! Stay with me sweetie, you'll be okay." My Dad gets off the phone and gathers around me. "W-what?" My body is cold, and I feel like I can't move. "It seems like you passed out or something, are you in any pain??" My parents are frantic, but I'm still so confused.

"I think I'm okay. No pain." I can finally talk, I do feel better, just fatigued. I think I spiraled so bad that I passed out. That would explain the coldness and the confusion. I've just never really dealt with anxiety before, it's scary. "Okay... how about you lay in your bed for a bit and we'll bring you some dinner, sound good?" My Mom smiles wearily at me, and I nod back. I slowly get up and lay in bed, and my parents soon exit after that.

I called Emma and told her what happened, and of course her being a concerned girlfriend, she's coming over. Then I called Alexander, he picked up right away and I told him what happened. He sounds concerned, but then he said...

"Why is it already happening?"
