Taylor's POV:

Sunlight covers me from the window as we soar over the midwest and start our initial descent into Kansas City. I had flown in from Mexico to Nashville late last night after the show and stayed the night at my house there before taking off again at 10:00am this morning. After staying at Travis's house for two straight days before Mexico, it solidified how much I really like him and I want to spend as much time with him as I can. The morning I left he had woken up early and made me breakfast in bed and bought me a bouquet of flowers before asking me if I wanted to be his girlfriend. The word girlfriend/boyfriend seems so childish for how old we are and how serious this feels, but it also brings a significant amount of comfort knowing we are in the same place in our relationship. As we both approach 34, we both want something long term and see marriage and children in our future.

I'm not sure if it's the nerves of knowing I will be staying with Travis for most of my break or the pressure of our first time hanging over my head that is causing me to be anxious. For some reason last time I kept putting on the brakes anytime we got close to going all the way and thankfully Travis was a complete gentleman and did not pressure me in anyway, but I know he was confused at my mixed signals and hell, so was I. I asked Blake her opinion and she told me she thought I was self sabotaging and trying to keep him at arms reach, and this is the last barrier my brain has put up. Stupid brain ruining everything, there is a hot muscular man who wants me and I know I want him as well.

The plane comes to a stop on the tarmac and the scene looks awfully similar to the one a week ago, one SUV and Travis's Range Rover sitting next to each other. Since I have a few months off from tour I have given Drew and Steve a few weeks of vacation and am using José and Mason this week.

"So you guys will take the SUV and following behind and I will ride with Travis in his car. You have the whole guest house to yourself and I believe Drew should have walked you through the protocols while we are here. Any questions?" I ask as I pack up my notebook, pen, and headphones into my bag.

"No ma'am. Drew and Steve gave very detailed instructions on the procedure when we are here in Kansas City." José says smiling at me before exiting off the plane. Sliding my bag over my shoulder I prop my Ray-Ban's over my eyes and step out into the August heat where Travis is already waiting for me at the bottom of the stairs.

"God I've missed you." He says as I throw my arms around his neck and he spins me around causing me to squeal.

"I missed you too." I whisper before crashing my lips to his. His arms tighten around my waist and mine tighten around his neck as my feet dangle above the ground. The sound of a slamming car door crashes into my ears and I pull away and lean my forehead against his.

"Come on, we can continue this in the privacy of my house." He teases placing me back on the ground and grabbing my bag from my shoulder. I grin grabbing his hand with mine as we walk across the tarmac to his car where he opens my door and I slide in the passenger seat.

"How are you feeling after your last preseason game? Ready for the season to kick off next week?" I ask as he pulls out of the airport and turning right towards his house.

"We are looking pretty good, I am ready for the real games to start."

"I bet you are. Another super bowl in sight. How's Jason feeling? I know you said he was having some pain in his knee last time we talked."

"He's doing better, thanks for asking. I think this might be his last year so he's doing everything he can to stay healthy right now. Kylie was saying how he has gone in everyday in the last week for treatment even when he feels fine, the training staff is probably over him haha." He says chuckling.
