Solitude pt. 1 |A|

In the night
when no light scatters,
thoughts stir and feelings flutter.

When you're gone,
left from my senses,
a chill dances onto my shoulders.

Left in the wake of our romance,
a flowering experience,
is the lust you once showed.

A dismissal of desire,
something I think you do purposely,
will lead us on a dangerous road.

A silence is beginning to linger
and it offers no comfort.
I don't feel warm anymore
and I don't enjoy how it's not a first.

Our eyes and lips still lock
despite the words and tears.
How long will we have
now that we've gone some years?

Am I still loved and wanted
like I love and want you?
Will I be held and kissed
like I hold and kiss you?
Are you missing me
when I miss you?

My heart confirms your old words
while my mind spirals down.
I constantly look for peace
but find myself always unwound.

I'm sorry if I can't focus.
