*Bobby's POV*

I carried Joelie to the car and sat her between John and I. John protectively put his arm around her shoulders, while I put mine around her waist. She looked so peaceful while she was sleeping, but I had so many questions for her. How did she freeze that man? Why is this jar so important to her?

Why did she care about me so much?

Logan and Rogue were talking in the front seat. I heard my hometown, Boston.

"My parents live in Boston. We could stay there." I said.

"Cool." Logan replied.

Joelie stirred. "Where are we going?" I could tell the tranquilizer was still making her drowsy.

"To Boston. You're going to meet my parents." I whispered in her ear.

"I have family in Boston." She yawned. "I don't remember ever seeing you though."

"Boston's a big city, Splashy."

"I know, Icee."  She replied. She snuggled more into me and fell back asleep.

I loved it when she called me that. It didn't make me feel cold, in fact, it made me feel warmer inside. I put my head on hers' and fell asleep as well.

"Wake up Icee! We're here!" Was the first thing I heard when I woke up.

"I'm up Splashy, I'm up." I replied.

She kissed my cheek. "Morning handsome."

"Morning."

I opened my eyes and Joelie's face was right in front of mine. I wanted to make a move, but seeing as we were in my driveway with John, Logan, and Rogue around, I decided against it.

"Have I ever told you that you have the most beautiful eyes?" I asked her.

"No, but I suspect that's your sleep talking. C'mon Icee, time to go meet the parents." She said animatedly.

"Alright, I'm up. Let's go." I said. I got up and slipped my hand in hers. John and Rogue rolled their eyes while Logan just raised his eyebrow. I shrugged and led them inside.

I gave Joelie the grand tour while everyone else stayed downstairs.

"This is my room." I told her as I opened the door.

"Wow. Cool." She said as she looked around.

"I meant what I said earlier." I said.

"At the time, you probably did. But you were still half asleep." She replied, walking around. She kept her jar in her hand at all times.

"Relax. It'll be fine." I said as I tried to take the bottle and let it fall on the ground.

"No!" Joelie exclaimed as she dove to catch it.

The jar hit the floor, but it didn't break. It didn't even crack or have a scratch in it when she picked it up.

"Please, this is very important to me. I, I made it. By accident. It was really cold in that room and Magneto wanted me to show him what I controlled and--" She trailed off, a blank expression covered her face.

"Okay. I'm sorry. You'll be okay. The big, bad man won't hurt you anymore." I said as I gave her a hug.

"I know. Cause I've got you to protect me now." She said.
