"A mutant. You haven't heard of them?" Lydia asked.
"Uhhh lemme think... No!" I said back.
"Well then this should be fun." Lydia said with an evil smile. Her skin seemed to peel off and turned blue. Her eyes were now a vivid yellow-green.
"Lydia???" I asked.
"Stop calling me that!! My name is Mystique. That's all you need to know right now." She threw a punch and knocked me out cold.
When I woke up, I was on a metal table in a room with 4 other people in it.
I recognized Mystique, but the other 3 I didn't know.
"Ahh you're up. This is Rogue, Avalanche, and Destiny. You'll meet Magneto later." She gestured to the people around the room as she said their name. "This is our new weapon Aqua."
"Mystique, my name is Joelie... Not Aqua."
"You're not Joelie anymore. You are a deadly weapon, named Aqua. So that no one will know who you really are." Mystique simply said.
"So I have to give up my whole past life? What about my parents? My friends?" I asked, worried.
"Oh, they'll forget about you soon enough. It'll be like you were never there." She said as if it were nothing.
I started crying.
"That's right. Poor little Aqua. Now show us what you can do with that water, and maybe we won't kill you." Mystique said laughing at me.
