When I woke up, I was once again alone in a room with people I didn't know. Except for one, "Rogue?" I asked.

"Hey Aqua! What took you so long?" She said jokingly.

I stared dumbfounded at her. This is not the Rogue that I remember. This one actually laughed and smiled and seemed happy.

"Okay, very funny Mystique. Where am I?" I said.

Rogue laughed again. "You're at Professior Xavier's School for the Gifted. And I'm not Mystique, it's actually me, Aqua."

I looked at her skeptically. "Then tell me something only Rogue and I know."

She laughed and said, "When you were younger, you used to run into my room at 1 am for me to make you sleep by causing you so much pain."

"Okay, it is you. Now who are these people?" I asked her.

She went through everyone. Two people really caught my attention, Bobby AKA Iceman and John AKA Pyro. Bobby had brown hair that he styled in an upward motion and light blue eyes that could make any girl melt. He nodded at me making my heart skip a beat or two. John had hair that was just a little darker than mine. His eyes were so brown that they looked like black ash. He also had a lighter that he kept opening and closing. He looked somewhat like me, which freaked me out.

"Why do you keep doing that with your lighter??!!!" I asked getting pretty annoyed.

"Because I can." He defiantly said to me. He had a deep, warming voice.

"Sorry, Joelie is it? He just does that." Bobby said. His voice was also warm, unlike his power. It made my heart race again.

"So, what do you do? Rogue must have brought you here for a reason." John said.

I took the water that Rogue had been drinking and shot it at John. Bobby then freezed it over his face. We laughed.

John melted the ice and was pissed. He stomped out of the room like a 5-year-old. Making me laugh even harder.

Just then, an older man in a wheelchair came in. "Oh! Hello! Rogue is this the girl you found?"

"Yes Professior. I actually used to work with her before I left the Brotherhood." Rogue said calmly.

"Ah, then this is a runaway too. I am Profeessior Xavier. I will help you and your powers bloom. What can she do?" He asked.

"OH NO!! RUN!!" Bobby joked. I took the puddle from where John was standing and splashed him with it. He laughed and said "Just kidding Joelie. It's nice not to be the only one with a water power around here."

"You may regret saying that later." I said to him jokingly.

Professor Xavier laughed. "How could a sweet child like you be part of the Brotherhood?"

I stopped laughing and said, "I was kidnapped. Mystique found me and took me to the Brotherhood where he thought I would be a secret weapon." A tear slid down my cheek. Bobby walked over and gave me a hug. He's actually incredibly warm, given his name and power.

"It's okay Joelie. We'll help you." He said reassuringly.

I nodded and he stepped back. John had come back now and looked at me.

"If you splash me again, I will end you." He said threateningly.

"Awwwww, is John scared of a little water?" I teased as I rose the puddle again.

He rolled his eyes and turned my water to steam.

I fake pouted. "Fine, be that way." I couldn't keep a straight face and started laughing. John smiled and Bobby laughed with me.

Professor Xavier said, "Come with me. I want to do a quick lab test on you. Nothing to serious. Just a precaution. We do it with everyone here."

I nodded and stood up. I then tripped making everyone, even me, laugh again.

As I walked down the hall behind Xavier, I thought I saw John following. As if he felt a need to protect me, or he just wanted to see my results.

We finally reached the lab and Xavier did some tests on me. It was like going to the doctor, only different. Instead of checking my pulse and joint coordination, he tested my abilities. At the very end, he took a blood sample.

He murmured to himself as he looked at my blood. "What is it Professor?" I asked.

"This stuff just isn't logical! Did you have any siblings growing up? A brother perhaps?"

"No sir. I was put up for adoption when I was a baby. I know nothing of my real family." I said.

He cursed and then went outside where John was and started talking to him. They looked like they were fighting. John almost blew a hole through the wall, the professor calmed him down enough to just a simmer. Then they both walked in.

John had stopped doing the thing with his lighter, that was my first indication. He looked at me with new eyes. This look was protective, like a--- wait a minute.

"What is he here for?" I asked.

"Joelie, I'd like you to meet your brother, John."
