**Joelies POV**

I woke up and everything that happened came crashing down on me. Jean, gone. John, gone. But, I was back in my bed at the mansion. Bobby must've put me here. I slowly got up and changed into my clothes. Instead of my normal blue stuff, I had on dark skinny jeans, and I went to John's room to borrow a shirt and jacket. I didn't have anything black, but he had a surplus of the color. I went to the kitchen to grab something to eat, then went to the room with the fireplace.
I sat there staring at the fireplace hugging John's jacket.
"You really miss him, don't you?" A voice asked from behind me. I looked, it was the little girl from earlier, Sam.
"Yes Sam. I do miss him. And Jean." My voice broke when I said her name.
"Mommy? Yeah, I miss her too. I think Daddy misses her more though." Sam said.
I looked at her. She did have Jean's eyes and hair, but her composure and personality was more like Scott. I smiled a little and hugged Sam. "It'll be alright. Your dad will come out of it for you."
She shook her head. "I don't think so. And that's why I'm running away."
I nodded, understanding. "Do you want me to help you pack?"
She nodded. "Yes please. I was going to go without anything, but I guess I do need some stuff."
"Yeah, come on then. Lead the way to your room." I said.
She nodded and grabbed my hand, whether it was to make sure I didn't back out or just the prescience of someone else there to comfort her, I didn't know and I wasn't going to ask.
I helped Sam pack and she snuck out. She said she'd see me again one day, but I wasn't sure. I sincerely hoped so, for my sake and hers.
Once she was gone, I wandered throughout the mansion. I was looking around when I stumbled upon Logan.
"Hey kid, how you holding up?" He said.
"Okay I guess, what about you?" I asked him.
"Same." He answered. I knew he loved Jean. Anyone could see it. But she had Scott, and that had really hurt Logan. He's a lot quieter and the little fire of mischief is gone from his eyes.
I'm sure I looked pretty dead too. I lost a lot of people yesterday.
"Have you seen Scott?" Logan asked.
"No, why?" I said.
"Ah shit. I think he's going to do something stupid." Logan said.
"How much you want to put on it?" I asked.
He smiled at me. "I didn't know you gambled kid. Bobby's a lucky guy. $10 Scott will do something regrettably stupid by the end of the month."
"You're on." I smiled back an we shook on it. "Speaking of Bobby, I should probably go try to find him."
"Yeah, we'll start training next week. I'll cover for Scott till he feels better." Logan said, and I was kinda looking forward to training now.
I found Bobby in the kitchen, eating ice cream.
"Hey Icee." I said.
"Hey beautiful. How are you?" He asked.
"I'm okay. Better than yesterday." I said.
"That's good." He replied.
I went and sat next to him. He put his arm around me and rubbed my arm. He was so warm despite his power. I loved being curled up with him.
I kissed his cheek, getting him to blush. "Awwwhhh! That's so cute." I said.
"S-shut up Jojo." He stuttered.
"Nope. You're too cute." I said.
He blushed a little more and looked at me, I then started blushing as he leaned in. Our lips were a fraction of an inch apart when we heard; "Looks like you found him."
I looked in the direction of the voice, Logan stood in the middle of the kitchen.
"Thanks for ruining the moment." Bobby muttered.
"Thanks for making me lose my appetite." Logan said.
I laughed and sighed. Everything was back to normal, well, as normal as it could be.
