**Joelies pov**

Tony and I meet the rest of the gang at the HQ of the project known as the Avengers. There's Tony, Steve, Bruce, Bart, and last but certainly not least, Natasha. They're all very nice and very cool, but I can't help but feel that something is missing. Something big.
Tony glances at me and lightly grabs my hand, bringing me back to reality. "Whatcha thinking about?"
"The usual. How badass Natasha is, how silently strong Steve is, and how we all really shouldn't fit together as a team." I say.
Tony chuckles. "You've got that right Jojo. We shouldn't be a team. But I think that you have a major play in the fact that we are."
I blush slightly. "What do you mean?"
He smiles at me. "What I mean, gorgeous, is that you are what's keeping this team together."
We arrive at the meeting room and Tony holds the door open for me as I walk in. Everyone says their hellos and some small talk goes around the room. I talk to Steve as Bruce and Tony strike up a conversation, both of them being super geniuses.
"So, Joelie, I'd like your opinion on something." Steve says.
"Okay Cap, what's up?" I reply.
"I thought that the Avengers might need a little bit of help. And, as powerful as you are, it's just not enough. So, I've decided to call in the X-Men. I'm going to announce this to the team once everyone settles down, but what do you think?"
Something hit me, I had heard that before somewhere. X-Men, it was so familiar, but I couldn't quite seem to grasp what it was. "They sound cool, and if you think it's the best for the team, then go for it Cap."
Steve smiles. "Thanks Joelie. I had a feeling you'd say that."
I shrug and smile back. Tony grabs my wrist and has me sit down between him and Cap, if I don't, they start arguing.
Cap makes the announcement, and says that they're already here. He brings in an old man in a wheelchair.
"Everyone, I'd like you to meet Professor X." Steve smiles and Professor X does as well, looking at everyone around the room.
His eyes freeze on me. "Joelie?"
"Y-yes. That's me. How did you know my name?" I ask, very confused.
"Joelie, do you not remember? You were a part of the X-Men until you were lost at Alkali Lake. John and Bobby will be so happy to know you're alive." The Professor said.
"John... Bobby..." These names were so familiar, and I was getting dizzy. I grabbed on to the table trying to balance myself.
     "Jojo?" Tony says, worried.
And that's the last thing I hear before I black out.
