After my talk with Kurt, I decided to go find John and apologize. I searched all over camp for him, but I couldn't find him anywhere. Then again, I couldn't find Magneto, Mystique, or Arya either.

"No!" I exclaimed. I ran around, double and triple checking everywhere. I finally gave up and sat by a lone tree in the field. There was a huge circle of dead grass in the field. It had been overwatered. Destiny didn't lie here anymore. I buried her, like she would have wanted. I could still hear her, like she was still here. Just talking to me.

"Aqua, Pyro has to find his own path. If he chooses to go with the Brotherhood, it is his choice. He has to secure his fate. His destiny."

"But I need him here. With me. He's my brother. He balances me out. Fire and water." I replied.

"I know. But maybe I want to explore who I am." John said. He walked from the other side of the tree and sat down next to me.

"I didn't know that you were here." I said.

"Obviously. I didn't want you to. I needed some alone time. Everything's been going so wrong lately. The Professor is gone, Magneto wants me to join him, my sister doesn't approve of the girl I'm into." He lightly elbowed me, joking.

"I'm honestly just jealous. She's really pretty and well, she completes you while I balance you. Oxygen and fire make a bigger fire. Water and fire, don't mix well. But they balance each other out." I said.

"Jealous of Arya? She's living in your shadow. You were apparently a big deal to Magneto, he adored you. Mystique liked you, Rogue could tolerate you, and even Avalanche thought you were cool. Destiny, she saw something in you. She warned Magneto that you wouldn't be the kind of weapon he's looking for.  Arya is strong, but you are extremely strong. She underestimated you when you two met, but when Destiny died, she saw your true power. She was right behind Magneto when you threw him." John said.

"I didn't even see her. I'm sorry she had to see that." I replied.

"She's not. Now she knows why everyone wasn't impressed when she showed up. She shows off a little, but that's because she's trying to be you Joelie." John said.

I sighed and put my head on John's shoulder. "I just don't trust Magneto, after what he did to Rogue and me and Destiny. I'm just trying to protect you."

"I know Jo, but I'm a big boy. I can take care of myself." He smiled.

"I know. I just think you're getting ahead of yourself." I said.

"I'm still thinking about it, it's not an easy decision. I've got you, Bobby, Rogue, the Professor, Logan, and all my other friends. But I also have Arya, and a way to find out what I can truly do." He sighed.

"I want you to stay, but I'll understand if you leave. I know that thirst to figure out what you were truly meant to do. It's not a new feeling." I smiled.

He looked at me for a minute. "Really? You?"

"Yeah. When Magneto found me, I trained endlessly. I knew what I was there for and that I was going to be very powerful." I looked down. "I got a little older, and realized that what I was doing was wrong. I had to get away from there. Away from the monster I was."

John stayed silent. Then he suddenly said, "You know, I think this is the first opportunity we've had to really talk."

I laughed. "Yeah, it is. I haven't even told Bobby what I went through. He just thinks I'm a victim, like Rogue."

"Yeah. There's a relationship that would've never worked out. Bobby and Rogue, I don't see it." He smiled.

We put everything out in the open, and healed our battle scars.

Meanwhile, back at the ship...

**Bobby's POV**

"No, I never liked you that way Rogue." I said.

"But you gave me that rose on the first day." She replied.

"I was trying to be nice! You looked pretty scared, and I was just trying to help calm you down." I exclaimed.

"Really? You were into me until Joelie showed up! If she hadn't shown up, we would be together." She spat.

"If Joelie hadn't shown up, we might've been together, but I would only do it out of pity." I said.

She looked at me, shocked.

"The truth hurts, doesn't it?" I said. "Now I'm going to go find Joelie."

"Fine! You're going to regret not choosing me!" She exclaimed.

"Sure." I said.

I walked out of the ship and saw John and Joelie running towards it.

"You don't have to run! We won't leave without you!" I exclaimed.

They kept running. Joelie beat John to the ship by a millisecond. They were racing.

"HA! I beat you!" She exclaimed.

John chuckled. "Yes, you did. Now let's get in the ship before it leaves."

We all boarded the ship, and took off.
