The day after the walkers visit, all of us were trying to get Jay to see his parents. Seeing the boys trying different things to convince him was entertaining. But I had a different idea. I grabbed Nya and brought her to see Jay, mentioning casually he was unsure of visiting his family. "Is he embarrassed or something of them? They're really nice!"

"I think he's embarrassed of what they might say. You remember hearing those stories when they were over yesterday. Maybe if he goes though, he'll see just how much he loves his parents and visit them more often." Nya nods as we walk into the room.

"Heh-heh, hi Nya!" He smiles, wiping oil off his face. I for one, think it's adorable how much he likes her.

"You gonna visit your parents today?" She asked it as casually as she could, which was pretty casually. It was like she was asking about something as simple as the weather- which I mean, it was a casual thing to ask so I can understand why.

"Uh, sure am. Just about to leave."

"Tell them I say hi." She said with a smile before walking back out. I smirked at Jay.

"What was that about being too busy?"

"What? So, my plates not that full."

"Uh-huh." I said, not believing him for one second. "Sure." Cole chuckled from next to me. "Man, you really are hopeless when it comes to her." It isn't often I get sassy these days, but I found Cole loves it when I do, since he finds it amusing. But dad will tell you, I was a raging ball of sass sometimes when I was little.

We followed Jay to the area where the dragons rested, seeing Jay pulling on whisp's reigns. "Come on whisp! It'll be a quick visit! Just in and out, nothing more." Jay pleaded with the dragon, but he didn't move an inch. Dad came out from behind them with a huge thermometer, and I looked at him, confused. Were the dragons sick?

"Hm, it is as I suspected. The dragons are molting. They're shedding their scales."

"What does that mean?" Jay asked. I was just as confused to be honest.

"Every adolescent dragon goes through a transformation, before it becomes an adult. We must allow them to migrate east to the spirit coves for their transformation." Dad explained. I pet my dragon's snout gently.

"Will we see them again?"

"It is hard to say. But we need to allow them to follow their path."

"Rocky's going east?" Cole said, before walking up to his dragon, a sad look on his face. "Say it isn't so, rocky." The dragon nuzzled him in response. I pet d/n, his head nuzzling into my chest. I looked up to see the others saying their goodbyes to the dragons.

"Well, I guess I gotta go on this long walk all by myself. Sure would be nice to have some company."

"Of course we'll go buddy." Cole said.

"I could use a break." Kai chimed in.

"All you had to do was ask."

"I'd love to go!" Jay looked mortified. He ended up just sighing and not saying anything else.

As our dragons flew away, dad played his flute, filling the air with the sweet melody. I walked next to Cole, who looked at the dragons sadly. I pated his shoulder softly. "We'll see them again, I'm sure of it."

"Ugh, of all the days to lose our ride." Jay complained.

"That flute. You've never told us why it's so special." Zane said, clearly curious about it.
