THE ABSOLUTE BEING
was, quite frankly, careless. Ashborn was well aware of the strife that existed between the light and the dark---the Rulers and the Monarchs. The Absolute Being had not anticipated the outcome of His death, it seemed. Creating an endless war in the name of entertainment was angering, and yet Ashborn remained loyal to the very end of his own demise.

Reborn again as none other than the Shadow Monarch, the battlefield was harsh. His heart remained cold, and in his eyes the sight remained the same---death. Even as he commanded his Shadows, even as he fought countless battles against the Monarchs as a Monarch himself, even as he was opposed by his brethren, Ashborn remained steadfast in his duty. The world would not end, even if he had to shield it with darkness.

One moment he saw fleeting life. In his eyes, there was light. A small thing, or being even, lay curled, seemingly asleep on the ground just a step away from his feet. It looked like light, its body merely an inch tall. Had he not been careful, he would have trampled over the tiny thing. Ashborn was curious. He picked it up in his palm, and it shivered from the cold touch. A heart made of darkness could never be warm, after all. And yet, it did not awake.

It did not look like the Rulers. It did not look like anything at all, except for some being of sorts---apparently sheltered from the constant strife on the ground it previously laid upon. Ashborn decided to look after it, nurture it in his heart in spite of Bellion's concerns. He did not know why he made that decision. Perhaps to make it carry on his wishes, his loyalty to the beginning world. Or perhaps to have it stand by his side, a clear contradiction to the rules every being strived and fought for. Whatever the reason, he would feed the little thing his blood---a test of survival.

Shall it survive the cold, it will surely welcome the warmth. For the first time in his reborn life, Ashborn felt it, for his black heart held light---the one inch of warmth surprisingly enough to course through his veins, seep into his body.

. . .

"Uh, excuse me? Ma'am?" The voice of someone awoke Y/N from her apparent slumber. "We've arrived at the White Tiger Guild, Miss L/N."

Y/N was confused. When had she even fallen asleep? It was only a ten minute ride, and that was a long, long dream. Right, she was called to the guild by Yoon-Ho who didn't even tell her what for. She had to leave Jin-Ah's Parent-Teacher meeting all because of him. She was reminded of her annoyance against the man once again. "Ah, yeah. Thanks," she mumbled, still a little disoriented as she stepped out of the cab.

She was left with many questions as she entered the guild. Why did she see that guy in her dream? What was the tiny being of light? Why did she even have the dream? She knew for a fact that it couldn't be a trick like it usually was with the 'Architect'. There was no way he knew all that.

Hey, Comedian?
